The Evason Hua Hin is a lovely hotel. The staff are amazing and so friendly, from the moment you check in they can not do enough for you.
Breakfast is included in your stay and you can not fault the selection. They have everything from bacon and eggs, cereal, bread and pastries to sushi, Thai noodle soup and everything in between. All the food is very good and again the staff are amazing here.
The hotel has 3 different restaurants for evening meals. They have a Thai Restaurant surrounded by ponds where you can have a candlelit dinner under the stars. They also have a mixed restaurant called coast which serves things like pizza, pasta and steak. The last place to eat is around the bar area where they serve things like chicken wings, club sandwich and Thai dishes like fried rice or noodles.
The 3 Restaurants range in price even the most expensive (the Thai) you can eat reasonably or you can go for extravagant. But you are paying for the quality of the food and the atmosphere.
The pool is a good size and has 3 sections. A small kiddies paddling pool that leads into a long pool that is around waist height. Good for swimming lengths in or for children. And the last one is a much deeper that loops one of the sun lounger areas. All three are connected.
The towel attendants are always on the ball and will rush you a towel if they see you arrive, you can also order drinks and snacks through them from the bar.
The whole hotel is amazingly well kept. The grounds are cared for daily and always look perfect, It’s a nice place to take a stroll on a hot day.
You can hire bikes for 100 baht for 2 hours or 300 for the day. Outside the hotel is a very well kept cycle path that goes for miles in both directions. I didn’t use these but I saw from the hotel shuttle.
The hotel offers a free shuttle to Khao Kalok beach (about a 15 minute drive but the cycle path runs all the way so you could cycle if you wanted)
The beach is nice and the sea is lovely there, It’s well worth a visit. The main down side for this hotel is that they don’t have a beach but offering this shuttle means you still get one.
They also offer a shuttle to Hua Hin town although you have to pay for this. 200 baht per person per way. I think the shuttle should run more frequently and start earlier. I think the first trip wasn’t until 1 ish?! And the last return is around 6ish?! Which is too early for you to explore the night markets which don’t properly kick off until around 7ish. But you can get a taxi back to the hotel for around 4-500 so if you have more then two people it’s worth a taxi anyway.
The hotel has a six senses spa which looks lovely. I didn’t use these facilities so I can’t comment but I’m sure if you want luxury and relaxation then this is where you will find it.
I could not fault this hotel on anything! I would recommend it to anyone! The staff are the one thing that really brings everything together and makes your stay so memorable.

Whilst you are here tho you should venture out and try the selection of food and drink outside of the hotel. There are a few places to eat around. If you turn right at sea there are 2 restaurants that are worth visiting. The best is ‘very good’ it’s about a 5 minute walk. You get huge portions for a very small price. They serve the typical western burger and chips, sandwiches and chicken. But also a great selection of Thai food. The place is always busy we actually got turned away one evening because they were so full. I’m not sure of the name of the other restaurant but you can’t miss it it’s the only one before very good and is a 2 min walk.
If you turn right at the sea then in the evening you will find the road just by the street lights full of venders with carts selling all sorts of Thai street food. It must be good because it’s always full of Thais having food by the sea. Just past on the corner is a more lively restaurant that sometimes has a band playing. They do good food again big portions for small price. I really liked the red curry, it’s the only one I’ve had here that actually was hot. Although you can ask for not spicy or more spicy on any dish.
The last restaurant and my favourite is Mr Sings he is about a 10 Minuit Walk from the hotel turning left at the sea and left again after the Street food then straight up that road. But if you come out of the hotel and turn right at the sea about a minute after the hotel you will see a truck pulled up with a menu outside and a light on top. It’s Mr Sings free taxi, he will shuttle people back and forth for free. He does everything, a full really nice menu, really cheap. He has a massage place next door which looked really reasonable 300 baht for 1 hour. And if you ask he does a taxi service so can take you to and from the airport in Bangkok or into Hua Hin town.

We did not want to leave. We stayed six nights, a couple and teenage daughters. This was our third stay in about 5 years. As always grounds, staff and rooms all at a high standard. Staff are very friendly and helpful every where in the resort. Rooms are renovated since last visit, mainly bathroom as far as I could tell. Food very nice in all restaurants and in my opinion improved dishes and better service since last visit. Nice to have a drink in the bar each night and listen to Pam and Bobby. Thank you to Alan the big boss who takes time to talk to guests every morning at breakfast. New Years Eve party was very nice, huge effort by staff to prepare and participate, much appreciated. Spa also great. Evason is peaceful and relaxing, away from it all, we will be back!

We stayed previoulsy at the Evason in 2006 and were keen to go back, this time as a family.
There are lots of things to like about the resort. The grounds are lovely and very peaceful and the hotel offers lots of activities such as cycling, archery, volleyball etc, some with a modest charge. The spa really is a standout. The quality of the treatments are great and the prices for treatments reasonable and good value for a large hotel.
The food is of very good quality with a larger than usual list of options than normal for vegetarians. Breakfast in particular is a very extensive and excellent selection. The staff are as professional and friendly as you would hope and made us feel very welcome throughout our stay, especially Yos at the pool and all the team on the service desk and in the spa and kids club. Alan the general manager is very attentive and professional and makes a real effort to connect with the guests which is a nice touch.
Our 3 and 6 year old boys enjoyed the variety of the kids club and the range of activities and kids pool with slide.
The standard and cleanliness of the rooms are good although not quite at the level you get in a 5 star resort... our beds were very hard and pillows a bit too soft but thats only a small point and im sure if we had mentioned it to the hotel, which we didnt, they would have helped in any way they could.
The main plus of this hotel is its tranquil grounds and lovely open pool area. Whilst the location will be too quiet for some we didnt mind it. A lack of beach will also be an issue for some but it wasnt for us, the pool area was great.
The only surprise we had was that the hotel is starting to show its age and none of the reviews really mentioned this. To be fair the hotel is well maintained but its starting to show a few cracks and will be ready for a refurb soon. What was good is that the hotel got its oricing spot on. Whilst the finish isnt 5 star, the service, food and amenties are and we thought the hotel offered good value for money. We enjoyed our 7 nights even though our boys were sick - the on site nurse was really helpful.

Dear paulbull06

Thank you for your kind review and delighted to read that overall you enjoyed your stay with us, especially your comment about the pricnig. Pricing is such a subjective subject, so it always nice to read when someone acknowledges that we have "the pricing spot on!"
Your special mention of Yos and your experiences at the Spa are much appreciated and will be duly passed along.
Hopefully we will be able to welcome you back to us - and noted your comments about the bed and the pillows. We will note this - as this will be an "easy fix" when you return.
Hope to see you all back with us again soon.

Kind regards

My wife and I came here on our honeymoon in august and it was the best experience we could have ever dreamed of. We stayed in one of the villas with a private pool, it was both private and beautiful, and well worth the extra money we paid. The staff were lovely and always happy to help no matter what, when we went to the main pool they barley let you get half way to the bar before getting you another drink, and we got to know some of them and they were so friendly. In the evening the bar had a couple who would play music, they were incredibly talanted and such a good laugh, definitely worth going to the bar in an evening to hear them play, they even remembered our wedding song and played it every time we came in. The food was stunning throughout out stay, and they were able to cater to our taste no matter where we went, the Italian restaurant was surprisingly authentic tasting and so good, but you have to go to the Thai restaurant whilst there, so tasty. The organised trips were also very good, we went to see elephants and to see some Buddhist temples, we were taken by a wonderful lady who was fun and made the experience even better. This hotel deserves more than the five stars I can give as it made our honeymoon so much better than either of us could have ever dreamt.

Be aware that this hotel is located around 30 km from Hua Hin city center so if you're looking for shopping malls, bars and fancy restaurants, that's not the right place to go. However, if you'd like to spend some luxury time in a quiet, natural and traditional area far from the tourist crowds, this hotel will meet your expectations.

Once again, the area doesn't have much to offer. There is no beach next to the hotel, but just a seafront promenade that spreads along 10 km. However, the area is quite traditional and deserves to be explored on a bicycle or motorbike to the neighboring villages, Sam roi yod beach and Sam roi yod national park.

The hotel itself is a small piece of heaven. Very nice traditional Thai architecture and beautiful gardens and swimming pool. I could feel that the place was environment-friendly. The hotel is quite spread out so small carts driven by the staff are available to take guests anywhere on the hotel grounds, but a walk through the nice hotel gardens is quite enjoyable as well. The only downside is that the restaurant is pricy and doesn't have that much to offer. Given the limited choice of restaurants in the area, it wasn't that convenient.

Very professional, effective and courteous staff. The check-in and check out processes were quick and my special requests for the room were taken into account and granted on arrival. I was escorted to my room by one of the staff, which was necessary since the hotel is huge and the room could be hard to find. The service is customized to make every guest feel special.

The Studio room I had booked was stylish and romantic with a huge terrace overlooking palm trees, simply beautiful. Maybe the wooden floor on the terrace could be refinished because it was a bit worn but that was the only "negative" detail about that great and huge room. The price I got was OK for this kind of room.

I will definitely return there for a romantic week-end when I'll need a break from the city's hustle and bustle.
