We will start with the positives- firstly the hotel location is brilliant right on the sea with amazing views. The rooms and grounds are clean and modern so you can't really go wrong on that aspect. The staff are helpful and attentive but you can get the odd grump sometimes but that happens everywhere.

Food and drinks in this hotel are very good didn't have a bad meal. Would recommend people to try the restaurants outside of the hotel too. Would be nice to get a pint glass though instead of a small glass but that's only Minor

The real negatives on this holiday would be the entertainment which I can understand is on a low budget but bingo and quiz at 10:30 at night is appalling found the animation team really boring and not really bothered with the guests. So most of the nights we took a taxi in to the main town and hit the bars which satisfied us a lot more. I mean all this requires is good music to get everyone jolly but people were more likely put to sleep lol.

There was a lot of weddings on while we was there think about 3-4 out of 7 days which was a little pain just because you felt in the way of someone's big day.

In general we really enjoyed this hotel in the day just felt it wasn't lively enough on the night for a younger couple that wasn't interested in bingo

the hotel, location and weather were second to none. the staff were courteous and helpful at all times, we had a problem with aircon which was sorted before we got back from our breakfast!! we were a bit unsure of location at first, its about 4km from Protaras centre, but our concerns were soon forgotten. we love the Cypriot people they are always friendly and not pushy. the room was nice and clean but the bed was a bit uncomfortable. the evening entertainment was good too, especially the animation team. we would go back to this lovely place.

Room Tip: most rooms have a sea view, and a view of the pool, ours had both we had sun in the room first thing.

Have just returned from a two week holiday and it was fab.hotel very clean and food is lovely. Snacks served from 1pm until 5 pm. Coffee and cakes from 3to 5. Breakfast lunch and dinner buffet style lots of choice. Pool looks small at first glance but big enough as there is a 2nd pool for adults only. Pool towels supplied and can be changed every 3 days. Lovely cove to the side of the hotel with sunbeds you can hire. Hotel has beds on a little beach beside the cove but too rocky to access the water from it but only have to walk approx 50 yards to the cove. Rooms immaculate and public areas very clean. Entertainment team work very hard but entertainment is lacking something. A couple of the day times games were to guess the number of straws held in the hand of to get 3 tennis balls in the tube! Stayed in the hotel a few nights to watch a fire show and a magician who was very good.lots of bars outside the hotel if you need them. The a la carte and Asian restaurants are a must to visit. Staff all very friendly and cannot do enough for you. Cannot believe this hotel only has a 3 star rating !! Safe and air con free of charge. This is one of the few hotels I will be returning too

Room Tip: Rooms facing the pool are bigger.we looked onto the cove and the room was perfect for 2people but no room if a third bed was needed

Firstly I've marked it 3 due to the amount of money it costs to stay here. We stayed in room 008 which is meant to be a swim up room but the pool is not right outside your room, so we were a bit disappointed.

Location:
This hotel is right by the beach and 5 minute walk from local shops and restaurants. The beach here is made up of small coves so don't expect metres of long sandy beaches. There is a coastal path which goes all the way to fig tree bay. Takes around 45 minutes to get to the end.

Hotel:
Kept clean. Staff friendly. Main pool is very small for the size of the hotel. Adults pool is right by the main pool and is even smaller.

Food:
I really enjoyed the food and drink here. Was varied and kept at the right temp. Only downside is they do not provide bottled water.

Room:
Nice size. Kept clean. Hair dryer was rubbish and not attached to that wall. It was meant to be but had to plug it in and put the box on my lap. Only one plug socket in room.

Just been on our annual holiday to the Pernera beach hotel. There are a lot of positives about this hotel but a few negatives which need improvement.
Firstly let's get the negatives out of the way.
We booked a swim up room for a little luxury and on our arrival where given room 008 classed as a superior swim up room. This room is not a swim up room as the pool is round the corner at the end of your balcony. I say 'your balcony' the balcony attached to this room had next doors bedroom window on so no privacy for either room. Then you walk out through your gate to your swim up pool and next doors balcony is right there on your right so room 007 and 008 are a big no no and the room is tiny and far from superior. (Think this is the fault of Thomson trying to pull a fast one for more money hoping we wouldn't complain.)
You are given vouchers on arrival for one visit each to the exclusive restaurants. One is Asian and one a la carte. They ask you to give them two days notice to book but good luck with that, the A la carte restaurant is used for every wedding, christening etc and is closed a lot for functions. We had to book in for the night before we left,we could only get a booking at 18.30 as we where told it was full even giving them 5 days notice.
The whole time we were in the restaurant there was only about 15 people in. The food is also only pretty average.
The All inclusive is not bad but cocktail choice is awful, you can pay for different ones at a cost of €6.50 even the none alcoholic ones are the same price and are not subsidised. The spirits are fine but beer should probably be served in pints and not half pints. The snack bar food is basic and not the best quality( no paper plates for round the pool either!)The entertainment was awful but most of the time they'd use a cheap outside agency so it's the same old story, you only get what you pay for.
Now onto the positives. The restaurant food is excellent, always hot and plenty of choice, most of the staff are fairly pleasant most of the time but George at breakfast was lovely, always had time to say good morning and have a little chat.
The room we were given after our little miss selling issue was great,so no problem there.
We had a group of our Cypriot family come in to celebrate a special occasion and we paid for the Asian restaurant and wow I am glad I did.
The food was out of this world and a special mention to the amazing staff in there, Paris, James and Elizabeth to name a few and the amazing chef who catered perfectly for us all. You must visit this restaurant it is excellent.
This is a nice hotel but average in most aspects, I would visit again for a little chilled out holiday.
Special thanks to Bailey the Thomson Rep who went above and beyond to sort out our room problem and reassured us there would be no further problems.
Overall this is a good 3 star all inclusive resort.
