Arrived at 3am after 3hr delayed flight to a lovely welcome from the reception staff and some sandwiches and juice provided. Stayed in a premier sea view twin room which the view was amazing, room was a good size with really good bathroom and shower.
Stayed all inc ..... cocktails made while u wait along with all other drinks which were delicious and always served by really happy friendly staff.
Food was really good - not too much choice at breakfast but george was the highlight of our morning - always remembered you and always cheerful.
Could always get a sun bed no matter what the time of day - prime pool ones were gone early but if you just want a bed there are many in various parts of the hotel, also had own private little bay with sun beds and sea was always warm.
Hotel adult pool great idea and was always a pleasure to swim in.
About a 20-25 min walk down along by the beach to protaras.
Quiet if you want it to be or if you go into pernera (2 mins up road) there are several bars ..... we loved the ranch and windmill ones best .... live entertainment most nights. We also are out a few times .... again food lovely and not expensive at all.
We had a great holiday and think the pernera beach may be seeing us again next year!!!

Visited hotel for a friend's wedding. Initial thoughts were that resort is clean very well presented. Great views and everything is very accessible. Great!!
Soon realised we were lead into an illusion. We had money stolen from our room on the 3rd day, obviously devastated and disheartened but we thought we'd try to have it sorted by management - not much luck, it fell on deaf ears. Treated in the most disgusting manner. However water park tickets were paid for by the hotel so I guess a partial refund?
We travelled in a large group with 6 children aged between 5-2&1/2 & 3 babies. Which is great kids had a lovely time in and out of the pool. (Children's pool & main pool) There is an over 18's pool as well which we never used to due having children. Everyone likes to see children enjoying themselves right? WRONG we were told to keep our children quiet around the pool. Not that they were shouting or screaming to any extent. However we did hear some of that from another family but they didn't get penalised. From a 'family friendly' hotel I find it disgusting.

Men are not allowed to wear flip flops or vest in the main restaurant for the evening meal but women can wear as little or as much as they like with whatever they like on their feet.

Apart from that wedding was beautiful, location great and close to Protaras which is nice, food alright I guess if you like bland & to eat the same food every night. Animation team did their best but not to mine or my husband's standard.

Bottom line - won't be returning.

Dear Mrs. Bates,

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of the hotel. Our goal is to try and make your stay with us a memorable and an enjoyable experience, thus we always welcome your comments and we try to improve our services where ever we can.

Sometimes things may happen that are not in our direct control but we try to find ways to minimize these as much as possible.

We have two large swimming pools and a kids pool at the hotel as well as an indoor swimming pool next to the gym. You are right, one of the two large swimming pools is for adults only, and the other two outdoor pools for everyone. Guests come for holidays for different reasons. Some want to relax and enjoy a trouble-free week away from home and others would like to spend some more time with their children. We try to offer this to all our guests as best as we can.

Both restaurants overlooking the beach as well as the one by the pools have a dress code of smart pants, shirt or t-shirt with sleeves and no beachwear. We are sorry if some guests were dressed inappropriately.

We continually strive to improve food quality as well as selection and variety at both lunch and dinner. We currently have a two-week rotation menu, with many theme nights like Italian, French, Cypriot, Carvery nights, Oriental, Farmer's, BBQ and many others, to make sure that every day we offer something different. We have live cooking stations for both lunch and dinner and our chef is at hand most of the times and can prepare something for you in case you do not find anything to your taste at a particular day.

Your comments are always welcome and our animation team would like to hear more of what they could change to make your stay a more pleasurable one.

I hope we have the opportunity of welcoming you again in our hotel in the near future.

Thank you

We stayed here for 10 days - got married here a week ago today and all I can say is that everything was absolutely fantastic. Nothing is too much for all the amazing staff here. From the quality of the rooms, to the kindness of the maids, even down to the little things- just a hello from every staff when you see them. Pools were incredible and every single one of my guests ,(68) had a fabulous time and have said the exact same thing!

The food is above and beyond what you'd expect at an all inclusive hotel it was delicious and had an amazing amount of choice - even a specialised menu for vegitarians to order from.

The hotel also includes a free voucher at one of their specialised restaurants where we had a romantic free 3 course meal- honestly was incredible thought we were in a 5* restaurant. Pictures added...

My 2 year old had the most amazing time - all the staff showed a massive interest in him even when he threw a fit in the restaurant; 2 members of staff came over and played and distracted him!

Thank you and we will definitely be back! I'm already booking for next year!!!

First of all, thank you for choosing to stay with us and also for trusting us with one of your most memorable days, your wedding day here at the hotel.

We are so glad that you and your guests had a wonderful time and this really does make our job meaningful and worthwhile.
We do our best to satisfy everyone visiting our hotel. We prepare a wide variety of dishes in a two-week rotation menu with different theme nights to cover all tastes. Some nights we offer on display more than 30 different hot dishes to choose from.

Our a la carte restaurant are always available and we do offer our guests a voucher they can use for a romantic dinner with their loved ones.

Thank you for your great review. We would love to welcome you back any time you like.

A well run, very clean and spacious hotel in a great location. Our room was like many there, overlooking the sea with a balcony and was well furnished and very comfortable. All the staff my wife and I spoke to were very friendly and helpful. There was a good selection of food and drink provided by the 4 restaurants and many local eateries for those guests who wanted to try a different venue/cuisine. The sea was warm and crystal clear and the hotel has 4 swimming pools. For those who wish to pay more some rooms have a swim up pool as well. We are booking to return next year.

Room Tip: We would always chose a sea view room. For a mid price all inclusive 4* star holiday, great value.

My husband and I have just returned from the Pernera Beach Hotel.i would say the hotel and staff are excellent, however they are let down by some of the guests. Having arrived late in the evening we were received and checked in promptly, were advised that the bar was still open and food was still available, quite correct however the food was a half toasted cheese and ham sandwich, not exactly haute cuisine but enough.
We had booked a superior room and received bath robes and slippers, with a beautiful view of the pool and beach, the room was spotless no issues with this.
The good points for us were as follows.
The restaurant for breakfast is located near the reception area and for us was the best meal of the day, the staff in this location were excellent, a special shout out for George who always had time for a good morning or calamari and Georgiana who makes the omelettes who will bring them to your table for you as these are cooked to order and normally take 5/6 minutes. Food in here is the usual breakfast fare, bacon, eggs, cheese, ham, yoghurt, pastries croissants etc.
Bar service was good and the area was kept clean, staff were friendly in both pool and main bar.
The bad points for us, were the restaurant used for lunch and dinner, the staff were excellent and really tried their best to keep the standards high, however the food was a little repetitive chicken / pork and never really warm. We spent 800 euros eating out due to the food issues, and the restaurant itself which had the atmosphere of a works/ school canteen, I witnessed guests filling litre bottles with soda from the machine, why they would need to do this is beyond me as the hotel is all inclusive!,
Several guests were turned away for not wearing the correct attire for lunch and dinner despite signage stating swimwear was not allowed.
My husband went for a drink and stood in chewing gum that had been spat on the floor, again the guests failing not the hotel or staff.
The sun beds were reserved from the crack of dawn despite the hotel posting signage asking for sun beds not to be reserved before 07:00, again I could not understand this mentality as there were plenty of loungers to go round and we personally didn’t have any issues getting a bed despite not going to the pool until 09:30at the earliest.
The poolside toilets were the worst area of the hotel, these toilets are located behind the pool bar having used these facilities I found soiled nappies at the side of the bins provided, a quick word at reception and the problem was rectified, well done reception team for your prompt action.
A plus for the hotel is the location far enough away from the Main Street to be quiet but close enough to walk out at night should you wish , entertainment at the Pernera is not brilliant although the animation team do their best. There is a mini disco which has the same loop music each evening followed by a quiz, or bingo, karaoke and occasionally a band or singer brought from outside, we saw Adel and Blues Brothers tribute bands whilst we were there.

Dear Tabby,

Thank you for staying with us for your holidays and for taking the time to write a detailed review of the hotel.

We welcome your comments and we are doing our best to better what we offer to you.
The Main restaurant in the evening closes at 10.00 pm. For our late arriving guests we offer toasted sandwiches at the bar so that no one goes to bed on an empty stomach. This is something we do so that everyone can have something to eat after a long flight to Cyprus. We offer toasted sandwiches till 1.00 a.m. and we have cold sandwiches prepared for such occasion, kept in a fridge for our guests arriving after 1.00 a.m. given by the reception staff with a drink.

We continually strive to improve food quality as well as selection and variety at both lunch and dinner. We currently have a two week rotating menu, with many theme nights like Italian, French, Cypriot, Carvery nights, Oriental and many others, to make sure that every day we offer something different.

We take cleanliness very seriously and we always see to every report and observation our guests make.

I hope we will have a chance to welcome you again to stay with us again on your next visit to Cyprus.
