We’ve traveled a lot, both as a couple and with kids, and never returned to a place we’ve already been. But after an excellent holiday last year, we went back to Malama in June. And we’re definitely going back next year.
We booked all-inclusive and stayed for 9 days, traveling with two kids (5&2). We knew Malama was great, but they managed to exceed our expectations. The best all inclusive resort we’ve ever been (and we’ve been in some) got better.

As mentioned in my review last year, excellent accommodation, pool, beach, and entertainment. Top class food. Awesome staff.
And, I have to say it, excellent management. I’ve never met them, and don’t pay me a dime to write this, but they deserve credit for their work.

Especially because their strategy is quite unusual for an all inclusive resort.
At Malama, they choose quality over quantity and the results are the best food we’ve ever have eaten in an all inclusive, large rooms and green spaces, plenty of sunbeds.

They choose to take care of their employees. We know for sure that many of the staff members are working in the resort for many years, and it was a pleasure seeing familiar faces when we returned. (They are also great recruiters. Otherwise why so many Romanians would work there?)

They focused on customer loyalty & satisfaction. They improve the place every year. And many of their guests are coming back.

Me and my family included.

We've recently come back from a 10 night stay with our three children. We had a two bedroom suite which was spacious and clean. Everybody was friendly. Loved the fact we were allocated sunbeds near the pool on the first day and then they were ours for the holiday. Could not fault Edi or Miro with their organised games for the older children, enthusiastic, friendly and fun. We had an issue with the air con in our bedroom and the staff were very helpful and found us an alternative room quickly.
Stayed on and bed and breakfast basis, food was as you would expect with plenty of choice. Would definitely think about going back.

We are returning at Malama for the last 5 years, we just love it here. Our favorite hotel in our country.

First of all The Staff: a great selection of polite and smiley people eager to make your vacation memorable. I must stress that I love seeing the same people every year, it proves that they are happy working here. Marinos, Christina and Demetris by the pool, Kyriacos, Argyro, Giorgos at the restaurant, Andreas at the golf cart, Nausika at the reception, I forgot a lot of names, apologies for that, everyone was awesome.

The food: oh even if I am going back home with a couple of extra pounds, the food here is amazing, I am attaching photos. We were on half board basis and enjoyed breakfast and dinner. Only con at breakfast is coffee, I don't know if it's the coffee machine or the quality of coffee but it wasn't good...
About dinner: Every night there was a themed buffet and two stations that offered different dishes, for example there was the salad buffet, fish buffet, souvlaki dish, chicken kappamas traditional Cypriot dish, gourmet fruit tart at the sweets station and another fruit and sweets buffet... seriously a lot of food!!!

The rooms are well kept and serviced every day. They are old but not tired. The only problem was electricity, it switches off when not in the room and the chargers didn't work. The gardens around the hotel are well kept as well and give you a feeling of tranquility.

Swimming pools are clean, the person at the
pool, Loizos makes sure everyone gets the sun beds they prefer (for us it was at a shady corner), he reserved it for us for the week we stayed. Thank you Loizo. The life guards are going around all the time, very professional.

The beach is great and sandy only very very crowded. We couldn't find a sunbed at 8:30 on a Tuesday morning. The rest of our holidays we just went for a swim at the sea and retuned to the pool where we had our sunbeds.

Entertaining: every night but Sunday we enjoyed a different show, from folklore dances to magic shows. After dinner we would visit the pool bar for the shows. Every day there is yoga and gym by the pool, also the Malamino kids club offers a variety of activities for the kids.

Thank you Malama, we look forward to next year! Tip: Book in advance, we couldn't find a room in March 2017 when we called the hotel, it was fully booked, we were lucky that someone canceled and got a room from a webpage for the last week of August.

In our party was a family of 5 and my mum.
As the 1 bedroom apartments only accomodated 4 people our son shared a room with my mum so it worked well. We were greeted by 2 lovely reception staff who checked with the restaurant if we could grab a bite before checking in as it was just at the end of the lunch hour. So we grabbed the last bits from the buffet before they closed the restaurant. This was well received by us, having traveled since 3.30am!
Immediately we noticed how friendly and obliging all of the staff were in the restaurant which continued throughout our stay.
The room
Very clean and spacious
A nice big comfy bed in bedroom and the sofas in the living area also turn into beds
These were quite firm but still fine to sleep on
There's a door from the living room that leads out to the balcony and also another door that leads onto the balcony from the bedroom. Handy for late night chilling out without disturbing the kids.
There's a small kitchen area which has pretty much everything apart from a microwave.
Again handy if you wanted to russle up some snacks.
The pool
There are 3 outdoor pools - the deepest I believe is 1.20m or 1.50m
The higher level pool felt like it was heated although it wasn't needed but a nice touch
The lounger allocation is brilliant! The first day we were allocated 6 loungers right far back away from the pool but was told each day people leave and more loungers upfront become available
So we just set up home with some chairs and table outside the bar while the kids splashed around in the pool
The next day we enquired if there were any closer ones and was promptly shown 4 loungers under an umbrella in front of the baby/shallow pool which was perfect and these were ours until we left :-)
The lounger attendant Loizos was friendly and accomodating, as were the life guards
There's also a pool indoors where the spa is but it is not heated and its freezing but it is beautiful and you can acclimatise to the water within a few mins
There's a jacuzzi (I think that's an additional cost) and believe there's a sauna/steam room though we didn't use or see it but maybe its behind the jacuzzi
The spa is definately worth a visit just to see the beauty of it!
The food
Well where do I begin? There is an indoor buffet and also outside the buffet near the seating area are 'food court' type stalls where different foods were offered
Ie - omelettes in morning, burger in bun and chips lunch time, kebabs and steaks dinner, also a sweet stall with amazing desserts
These are just a few examples of the food offered
The chefs who also ran those where impeccable with the presentation, quality, quantity and so polite. Nothing was rushed and all the food throughout our stay was awesome!
Possibly the best All inclusive we have come across by far - hats off to the chefs.
Also hats off to the waiting staff and restaurant managers - Doros, an absolute gem. He and some of his team Victor and David were so efficient. Sorry for missing off other names but again this excellent service was consistent throughout, with all staff!
The Bar
Immediately I gravitated to 2 super lovely bar staff Carolina and Marinos
Always greeted with a smile and always had time for a chat which makes a nice change from other hotels where staff would rush your order through then quickly move onto the next person
Everything was chilled (relaxed and cold drinks!) Marinos even concocted my very own cocktail which was yummy!
Other drinks served were beer - Leon and Kappa, there were a couple more but at a charge.
I personally preferred the Kappa
Sprits, wine, cocktails, soft drinks, tea and coffee.
Also at the bar the kids were served free ice cream and there was cake available from 4-6pm
The Animation team worked very hard and got everyone involved especially Miro and Adriana.

Overall this has been one of the best All inclusive resorts we have holidayed at and we are already looking to book up for next year
If there would be any suggestions I would say a snack bar throughout the day would benefit particularly for the kids as our kids were usually snackish outside meal times besides the icecream and cake, would have liked a hot dog or burger and chips. This was mainly because they were eager to go play again and just got bored during lunch while us adults devoured the food
Well done Malama Beach Village, we will definitely see you all again soon!

Malama Beach Hotel Cyprus - Highly Recommend

We stayed here late July early August with my family and friends ( 21 in total ) for various celebrations. The Hotel was recommended by a family member who visited the resort in 2014 and we weren't disappointed one bit !!

From firstly checking in we had the most friendliest and helpful receptionist, so lovely and a great first impression.

( Alexia on reception was a great help, who helped us out in every way possible ))

The rooms are very clean with lots of space and couldn't fault this, the maids cleaned the rooms on a daily basis ( except Sundays, day off ) with fresh towel's and toiletries each day. We stayed in a Garden view room, with minimal noise at night, with all amusement a couple of minutes walk or less.

We stayed on All Inclusive basis and the food wasn't to fault at all. There is a buffet option for quickness and also separate little outlets serving fresh food each day, everything of high quality and plentiful and so much variety. There was also the option of the Seaview restaurant, which I would highly recommend for lunch only, the food and views are superb.

( A special mention to the waiters Roussis, Janet, Eva, & Ingrida they couldn't have been more helpful )

The swimming pool options where great, with 3 pools in total, activities during the day where excellent with a variety of different options available, including football, water polo, table tennis, volleyball, etc.... there was a morning & afternoon kids club for the younger ones which was really ideal for our party as we had 8 children in total.

( Really big thank-you to Edi, Adi & miro who took great care of the kids and are an asset to the resort.

The idea of allocated sun beds around the pool was great we where situated around the toddler pool which was ideal so we could keep a watchful eye on the children whilst they were playing in the pool.

( Big thank - you to Loizos and Theodoric who ran the sun bed system so well )

Each night at 8:30pm, after dinner we all went to the entertainment bar to watch the kids mini disco and straight after that there was nightly entertainment. Our family & friends enjoyed watching a variety of different shows including break dancing, hot fire show, parrot show, magic show, live music and not forgetting Mr Malama this was a great laugh.

The bar staff do an excellent job and are a credit to the resort a special mention to Jonny, Marino, Demetrius, & Caroline,

Fortunately everything about the resort was exceptional and I would recommend this to anyone. We will return sometime very soon for sure.
