If I could rank more than 5 here i would. Staying at the Palazzo Pacini wasn't great just because of its location, amazing breakfast and room, also because of Pietro the owner and his wife, a lovely couple who gave us tips, hosted us for wine tasting at their nearby store, and made us feel at home.

Would return anytime !

My husband and I stayed here for a few days in March. This is an excellent hotel. Great view over the Tuscan countryside, excellent breakfast, beautifully renovated rooms. This is a pet friendly hotel also. It is 30 minutes to other great locations such as Sienna, San Gimigniano and Voltera. You can also do Firenze on a day trip. Good restaurants nearby..Great place to stay! Friendly staff...

I took a group of 16 on a Food and Wine Tour of Italy. I was looking for a stop between Florence and Montepulciano for a 2 night stay. This hotel in Colle d' Val Elsa was the favorite of all the stops in our 14 day trip. The hotel owner Pietro and his wife, as well as Margherita, the hotel manager, all went above the expectations I had for a small boutique hotel. The rooms were beautifully decorated with amazing views of the Siena Hills. Margherita arranged a reception on the terrace as well as a dinner in their restaurant prepared and served by Pietro and his wife. The meal and wine were some of the best we experienced while in Italy. Pietro has a small wine shop across from the hotel and offered free tastings, and again, we enjoyed his hospitality. We are planning to return to Italy in May, and look forward to another stay at this wonderful hidden little town and hotel. I only hope we will get to enjoy another dinner!

Room Tip: Every room is unique. The suite on the same level as the dining room is breathtaking!

That was probably one of the best getaways so far. Everything, starting from location to the lovely owners was absolutely wonderful and exceeded our expectations by far! Three main takeaways (in no particular order, as we feel equally excited about all of them!): 1) Staff. Extremely helpful, friendly, welcoming -- they helped us with so many travel tips (thanks to all Heike, Petro and Margherita!!!). We had a rough car trip itinerary, but they helped us pick the places, shown us where / when / how to go, where to eat and what to do. All this warm-heartedness was so much appreciated from me & my fiance's side. On top -- we were treated with a free wine tasting session of the classic Tuscan wines! 2) Property. We had a room on the top floor with absolutely mesmerizing view (see the photos). We slept so well (the temperature in the room was simply perfect). We could not wait till the morning to see it! Probably best night time sleep we had in a while -- very cozy, cloud-like bed and air / silence. Needless to say that breakfast was fabulous. 3) Location. Conveniently located in a classic Tuscan village just off the highway between Siena and Florence. Convenient free parking. Still located in the countryside, which gave us that calming feeling.

We loved absolutely everything.

Room Tip: The room on the top floor has the best view

Beautiful place, great hospitality. Hostes care for guests with love and special attention. Wine tasting included for guests of the hotel in their ancient wine cellar. Reasonable prices. We will come back!
