“We Wanted To Stay Forever!”
Reviewed 11 November 2015 for a stay in November 2015

We stayed for a long weekend in November 2015, having found this unique property on AirBnB. Eugenie was an exceptional lady to communicate with, she made sure we had all the correct instructions and information for finding the house and was accommodating of all our questions.

Easdale itself is tiny, a slice of peace out in the Atlantic and An Lionadh is a fantastic place to stay. It is spacious, warm and well-protected against the elements - you really are perched on the edge of the sea! The living room and kitchen are particularly lovely for group holidays and the shower/bathroom faciltiies are great. Views are fantastic and you get a 360 idea of your surroundings from all the different picture windows.

In terms of general Easdale advice, pack a bit more food than you think you need as the (fantastic!) pub is seasonal and sometimes adverse weather can affect the ferry. The folk of the island are all friendly and welcoming, and we were lucky enough to see a fireworks and bonfire display. Eugenie was kind enough to check that we got home in one piece as the weather was fierce, to say the least!

We'd love to go back and it's the perfect place for a friends' retreat.

“Incredible get-away. Wonderful for wild swimming”
Reviewed 13 September 2014 for a stay in August 2014

I cannot rate this place, the house and the island highly enough. Though all arranged by my partner's mother for a 40th birthday family party, it was an all out magnificent adventure. You have to leave your car on Seil and take the small ferry- the ferry men are great at helping with the luggage! Then taking cases in the handcarts up to the house was really fun! The house was a delight. Board Games. Huge collection of Dvds. Piano. Guitar. Sheet music.Fuel stoves. Model ship and fairy lights. Maps. Books. First aid kit. And the most fantastic view from every window!!! I loved doing yoga in the morning sun on the lawn and swimming in the swimming quarry was the most wonderful wild swimming fun I've had in ages. Would go again and stay longer!!

“Fantastic Scottish Island Retreat”
Reviewed 11 October 2013 for a stay in October 2013

Excellent all round accommodation with amazing views over the Atlantic.
Everything that you would need for a relaxing break.
Accommodation is extremely comfortable and cosy....ideal for families or large groups with plenty of living space.
Island itself is a different way of life and you cant help but return once you have been.
People are all friendly with the pub/restaurant is a great place to meet people and the food in the restaurant was just excellent.
Cant wait to go back !!

“this place is amazing”
Reviewed 30 September 2013 for a stay in July 2013

We have holidayed at An Lionadh for the last 2 years, superb place, superb location, superb wildlife and scenery. Dolphins in the bay, good local pub serving good food and friendly locals. Eugenie has always made us welcome and she has arranged great weather for both our visits!! We are booked in again next year already!
