The buffet had great food with a good diversity , but the rooms were not so clean and had some old furniture. The bed was squeaky , the toilet had bad lightning , the bathtub was not that clean in the first day of my arrival.

The food was super!! Really enjoyed it.
Very simple rooms, old decoration, without bar and elevators.
Nice staff. Very polite.

The hotel is far away from everywhere. Taxis are very expensive, try to take some car.

Hi Marina,
I'm really happy to see that you enjoyed your stay at Club Med Opio, thanks to our GO & GE team, and the food suggested.
Actually, for the mini bar it's only in our suites room, and for the car, we have a service of car rent available thanks to our guest relation team.

I wish you a very good day.

We went here for a family-friendly group vacation since my sister has a 6 month old. It is mostly visited by French families, so it’s a great place to be more immersed in the language. It definitely helps to know a little French, but people are super friendly and willing to help. The staff is from all over the world and their name tags show what languages they speak.

Pluses:
-The food was really good and there was a good variety at the buffet-style restaurant
-The trapeze and other activities (archery, tennis) were super fun. Get there on time or you miss out. You need to reserve tennis court times.
-Nice common areas. Staff was friendly and helpful.
-all inclusives are awesome because you don’t have to carry your wallet anywhere
-easy to get taxis for day trips to beach
-nice spa
-Segway tour available on site
-lots of kids programs and activities, you can rent strollers, etc.

Minuses:
-Rooms are a little dated by American standards.
-There’s really only one main restaurant (buffet), with limited hours. If you miss breakfast or dinner, you’re going to go hungry.
-The pool was nice, but VERY crowded. People saved chairs despite signs saying it’s not allowed, so get there early or no seats for you. No poolside service available. There was another “kids” pool, but I never saw anyone there and think it was for activities only.
-Everyone there had three or four young kids. It was very loud most of the time.
-“Adult only” areas are a joke. The adult pool is a small hole in the ground with no beverages or anything else available, and still it’s crowded. The “adult” eating area is just a room off of the main buffet. If you don’t really like being around lots of kids, I wouldn’t recommend it.

Hi Heidi and thank you for your feedback.

I'm happy to see that you enjoyed your stay at Club Med Opio, thanks to the numerous activities, the food, our amazing GO team, and all the facilities available.
I would just notice that we have two different restaurant, the main one and the golf restaurant. Actually, yes we have some opening hours, but you have also the possibility to have a late breakfast until 11am, appetizers in the main bar from 11:30am and 6:30pm, and a coffee break in the afternoon, with a lot of fruits and pastries.
Also, our village is a families resort, but we offer the possibility to enjoy a calm stay, even with the kids around.

I hope to see you again in Opio soon,

Have a good day,
Ludivine, Club Med team

We visited Opio in the summer. We especially enjoyed the quality of the food and breakfast in the roof top restaurant. We spend a lot of time at the ‘silent’ pool. Small pool but quiet, excellent to catch up reading. On every location we came across the chef du village. This guy really was in control of the resort. He brought you fruits and in the evening he played the drums in the band.
