We live in Florida, so we have snorkeled in the Gulf, Key West and we’ve been to the Bahamas and this was the best snorkeling we’ve ever done by far! We went 12/15 and the weather wasn’t the best, but our experience was still awesome! We had this excursion arranged by Pacific for Less and it was well worth it, we wanted to go again! We swam with sharks, rays, eels, and tons of coral fish. My husband almost got bit by an eel hahah, but he got too close to it. The rays were all over us, they gave us some dead fish to feed them and the coral fish...and it was so cool! Our guides were riding sharks and kissing the rays, it was really cool and entertaining haha. It was like the animals knew them and were excited to see them. We were given drinks and fresh pineapple/watermelon. They even took us all the way around the island and showed us where some of the WW2 canons and bunkers were. We stopped at their private motu which was really pretty, and they even showed my husband how to open coconuts with his hand.. he failed, they did not haha. We will definitely be doing this excursion again if we go back to Bora Bora! Thanks for a great time guys!! 😊

We had an amazing time with Leo and his family. What made special was being able to snorkel with manta rays! We had to skip the lunch on the Motu because of a private event...fair trade to see the manta! Leo and his parents we great hosts picking us up at our villa by car and returning us by boat. It was an amazing day!!!

The Shark/Ray snorkeling tour was included with our Pacific For Less (who are excellent by the way) vacation package, so we weren't sure what to expect. My husband and I have done lots of snorkeling all over the world and this was the best few hours we ever had. Leo was an amazing guide - so fun, energetic, and obviously loves what he does. He picked us up in a large boat with plenty of shade and tons of room for the eight of us on the tour. First we went to a spot where we saw 5 eels, two of them were fighting a bit which was amazing to watch. Then he found Manta Rays for us which was pretty incredible because the conditions were not favorable. After that we snorkeled with rays and sharks! He had us initially line up behind a rope while he fed them. It was so fun and not really scary at all - just thrilling. After that, we went to one more place - a gorgeous coral garden which was probably one of the most beautiful we have ever seen, A definite high light of our trip to French Polynesia,

This was the third time we've done one of these type of tours in French Polynesia, and this was our favorite. Leo was just fantastic. He felt like family to me by the end of the day. He sang to us with the most beautiful voice and passion, and you can tell that he loves what he does in this family business. He's one of the sons. We snorkeled at some coral gardens (not the ones by the Intercontinental) where we were completely walled in by fish while we were feeding them. Leo was like "the fish whisperer" and they would follow him around. He was hand feeding huge Mooray eels! We then were able to find 2 Manta rays and jumped in and swam with them. Huge. Fast. Beautiful. That's something we've never done before. We went to 2 more locations to swim with stingrays and sharks and other fish, including going outside of the reef where it was very deep, blue water, and it was so clear that you could see to the bottom. We then got to stop off at Motu Tapu, which is an idyllic island that we've always wanted to go to. The photos we got there are stunning. The colors of water you will see are mesmerizing and indescribable. You just have to see it to believe it. This is a BIG WINNER! Do it! We did the 1/2 day tour without the lunch to save money, but I wish we would have done the lunch so we could have stayed on Motu Tapu longer and hung out longer with Leo. Really, really a perfect experience. Loved it. Thank you Leo!
