We had looked at a getaway and saw an advertisement for this location.

The staff were fantastic and we had a great time. We upgraded to a beach bungalow which was great. Nice size and outdoor shower. The island is small (about 1km) in length so you soon learn to wind down which was perfect.

Lots to do around the islands etc but it costs. Everything seemed expensive to do so we were a bit selective. Drinks (alcohol) was also very expensive as were meals outside of those provided.

The water bungalows have the best outlook with the rest facing towards the new development happening (east side) which was a bit disappointing and did create some industrial noise which while not totally overwhelming was not what we wanted on our getaway.

In all a great trip, however while we will come back to the Maldives we probably look at other places.

We rented an over water bungalow. It was a very unique experience. The whole trip was more expensive than other similar destinations but definately worth the extra price.

The locals are very friendly and helpful. They realize tourism is the source of foreign exchange for The Maldives and they do everything to make us feel welcome and enjoy this paradise on earth!

The views are stunning and spectacular. Lots of water activities available and non motorized activities are free. The motorized activities are charged a hefty fee and taxes.

Everything here is priced in USD and is subject to a ~23% tax (GST and service charges). So keep an extra cushion for expenses.

Food is varied and extremely good quality. Buffet breakfast/lunch/dinner at the feast restaurant. The Baan Thai restaurant (Thai, closed Tuesday's) and Sea Salt restaurant (seafood and steaks, closed Friday's) are a little upscale and both require advance reservations.

Couple of bars offer a variety of drinks and finger foods, but since I don't drink cannot offer any advice.

Sunset is amazing. View from the over water bungalow was unique. Suggest the sunset cruise and Male day trips.

A great place to unwind however, feel a little miffed as here for 25 year wedding anniversary, seems the hotel acknowledges 30th only - not so special? Refer blogg from couple arriving 2 days after us on 14th, a little disappointed as told hotel advised

Very nice resort. One's memorable experience begin with the journey by boat from the airport to the Sheraton Island. Reception was quite warm and transfer to the chalets was quite fast and see less. The rooms are big enough so also the bathroom. The cynosure of this hotel is the food. The restaurant exhibit an array of food and it is very easy to get confused for lack of knowledge in gastronomy. Restaurant service was excellent and I will easily recall the exceptional services of the Sous chef and Eunice. Other staff were also very helpful and pleasant. I also participated in the 6pm shark feeding which brought one closer to nature. That native guy in the Gym was quite warm and always ready to share his experience of the locality. My family had fun during our holiday.

Room Tip: Rooms facing the ocean.

Our room over the water was excellent and peaceful, until our neighbors showed up next door, a Chinese couple who yelled and screamed at each other the whole time!

Other than that, staff was amazing and friendly, restaurants are good, but the buffet is a bit pricey at USD $84++.

Extreme dive company was amazing! Expensive than 3rd parties, but their equipment is new and well maintained. :)

Thank you for a lovely experience!
