The cemetary is best seen morning / evening and allows for quite contemplation. many of the dead were young ... about 20 and lost in WW2 and the 1950's communist insurgency (known as the Emergency). The British were also initially guilty of horrific war crimes before a change a strategy .. and the term "Winning Hearts and Minds" surfaced.
The cemetery is located in Bukit Larut, 2 km past the Taiping lake Gardens. This cemetery is for the Commonwealth casualties of the Japanese invasion of Malaya during the Second World War. Created by the Commonwealth War Graves Commission, it is divided into two parts with the Cross of Sacrifice on the Christian section and the Stone of Remembrance on the Muslim and Gurkha section. A sad remembrance for the lives lost to war.

Lovely setting of mountains for the War Cemetry.Peaceful location and always tragic to remember the loss of life due to wars.
Located a bit far off the lake but still easy accesible. I prefer for them to have a wall of info about the history back then.
