Even thou I was born in PR I had never been to the bioluminecent bay. We did our trip with Paradise Scuba. As folks swam you could see the trail of bioluminecense. It is the most amazing thing ever. It was too bad cameras could not pick up the glow. It would have been very dramatic. The guys in the outfit brought a bucket of water for those that chose not to get in the water to experience first hand the wonder of it. It was cool. Recommend hands down.

Great experience for whole family my six year old son loved it. Went with my two year old daughter who enjoyed the boat ride. Supposedly its best during the new moon (brighter) but we went at about half moon were able to see the bioluminiscense just fine. Part of the array of things that makes these organisms thrive is higher salinity which makes divers more buoyant in the water. Best way to experience is to snorkel, the organisims fluoresce even after you exit the water if you provide oxygen by shaking at your clothing. Really neat stuff even if you don't care much for the science behind it.

The pictures on the internet glamorize it, but it's still truly amazing what you see and experience there. Take a tour that allows you to swim in the bay!!! You won't regret it.
