What a lovely, and friendly place, staffed by helpful and happy folk which spilled over onto their customers. The afternoon tea started with a fizzy drink with a strawberry decoration, served in a champagne glass, no alcohol as I was driving, but I think prosecco is on offer. We were served with a lovely little cup of fresh home made soup, a slice of fresh bread and a yummy sausage roll, that was just the beginning. Then the three-tier cake stand arrived, groaning with the most delicious goodies. Triple decker sandwiches, ham+, egg+, salmon+, well filled and fresh. Up a tier, vanilla cheesecake, carrot cake, chocolate cake, eclair, fresh scones with clotted cream and strawberry jam, up a tier, to vanilla slices, and home made trifle. All this served with tea and coffee in lovely traditional crockery. Everything was perfect, and, as we were ourselves, well-filled, we donated two of the trifles to a table of lovely fellow diners who were celebrating a birthday. Can't recommend it highly enough.
