We spent a week at Esencia in December this year and we are already thinking about coming back. The hotel is clean and spacious and with 4 pools (2 heated), 3 restaurants (amazing views) and easy access to the beach makes a perfect holiday destination. The food was nice with plenty of choice. But what really makes this hotel special, in our opinion, is the animation team. Quentin, Esme, Federica and the rest of the animation team are just amazing and absolutely made our boys' holidays. Well done esencia for having such amazing staff! All staff are very friendly and helpful. The weather was amazing as well with 26-27 degrees. It is true (referring to the previous comments) the hotel mostly caters for German/Swedish guests but the staff CAN speak English in fact many of the staff can speak several languages and the evening entertainment is in several languages (Spanish, French German and English). The only downside is the bus transfer time to the hotel which takes more than an hour, as the hotel is quite a way from the airport.

Mr&Mrs Davison, we had a two week stay at this hotel in September,We enjoyed it so much that we have already booked another one for next year. Starting from the time we booked in, the receptionist was so helpful with a minor problem that we had. We had a lovely room with a view of the ocean. The hotel is so spacious and a relaxing place to be in.

This was our third visit to the resort - albeit our first time within Esencia de Fuerteventura.

Just to clarify the situation, Esencia de Fuerteventura is a small part within the Fuerteventura Princess. You get access to everything with the Fuerteventura Princess hotel, with the added benefits of the Esencia de Fuerteventura complex.

The hotel is very close to the beach, so we spent every morning on the nearby beach. Please be aware that it's either a 40 minute walk along the beach to Morro Jable town, or a €10 taxi ride each way. We've previously seen the town and had no intention of visiting it this time, and didn't get bored once within the 2 weeks we had in the resort.

There is a nearby Mercadona supermarket for any bits you need, such as shower gel/shampoo etc, to save you having to bring it all in your limited baggage allowance on the plane!

Lovely quick check in (we were the only ones getting off the coach at the hotel!)

Room was lovely and clean, with good pressure shower, and was cleaned daily. As in most hotels in Fuerteventura, only limited news channels in English on the TV, but you don't need the TV anyway. We only used it to put Los 40 on the radio channels for some music in the room.

Food was great - and we particularly enjoyed the themed nights in the Esencia restaurant El Mirador. The Asian night was great, and matched any Chinese takeaway food we've had in the UK! Plus, the live music during lunch at the El Mirador restaurant was excellent.

We travelled at the end of September, and the resort was busy enough to have an atmosphere, but quiet enough for there to be plenty of space, and not needing to fight over sunbeds. We never felt the need to reserve a sun bed - there was always one available.

The resort has recently created the Sotavento Club bar, with some great comfy sofas to relax in the afternoon without being directly under the sun. Also, the new adults only pool area was perfect - we could always get in a jacuzzi and the spa area was lovely.

The improvements made have really enhanced the hotel - previously you had limited options if you didn't want to be sat on a sun lounger all day! Now there's plenty of places to sit and relax.

The main evening entertainment in the Bar Antigua is a little cheesy, so we avoided this, but there's plenty of other options, including a sports bar, and our favourite El Portalon, that had live music each evening.

Drinks service was great - never had to queue too long, and in the evening, we were often served drinks to our table which was a nice touch.

Staff were very friendly, overall we can't find anything to complain about!

WiFi is also now resort wide (used to be limited to reception). Whilst you have to pay for it (€19 for a week), I was happy paying for a good quality connection, rather than one that everyone is on because it's free.

On the approach to this holiday, we wondered why we were going back a third time, and why we hadn't chosen to go somewhere else in the world. Yet we've left the holiday planning on going back a 4th time in the future!

Just returned from a week at the Esencia hotel which is a smaller hotel within the princess complex.
Lovely and clean room with the added bonus of both a pool and sea view.
Would highly recommend for family's with lots of activities to keep children entertained.
The food was lovely but if I was being picky I would like to see a bit more of a variety in the children section.
The entire complex is beautiful and well maintained. It's located right on the beach which is lovely with golden sands.
The staff were very polite and helpful.
It's a very peaceful location but for a 10€ taxi ride you can be in Jandia centre where there is a market and lots of shops.
BE AWARE!!!
Men must wear long trousers in the evening in the restaurants.
We weren't told this before we went and due to the intense heat had only taken shorts, so had to take a quick taxi to the shops to buy some.

Pretty impressive Hotel offering All Inclusive for a Cheeky week away.
The Esencia part of this Hotel was lovely and was worthy of its 4 star status.
Lovely room opposite the secluded pool opposite a small restaurant where we ate Morning,Lunch and Dinner.
The "Chill out" Bar was perfect and offered great choice of drinks and all branded spirits.
Food was excellent and the steak night was out of this world fresh bbq steaks cooked to your liking.
Food was plentiful and of good quality.
Staff worked hard to maintain cleanliness throughout our stay..
Entertainment wasn't great but it dident matter after several large cocktails.
Would definitely return it was good value for money.
