Was here for 4 day with friends. Our bookings on the website and communications with Jip through e-mail after confirmation was really easy. We also arranged for transportation through them to and from the resort. Coconut Grove is a small-ish resort in the Juara Village, which is located on the other side of the hill of Tioman. The ride there is an adventure by itself! I absolutely loved it though :D
It's almost at the end of Juara Beach stretch, near to the turtle hatchery. We loved our huts. It was air-conditioned, and the surrounding trees helped tonnes to stave off the scorching heat of the sun in the afternoon. Do note that there's a larger resort next door, which can be quite loud when it's full capacity, but during our stay on most days, it was pretty quiet until Friday came.
We really were looking to do absolutely nothing on our trip, as we just needed to wind down from our hectic jobs, hence we literally stayed on site the whole time. We had every meal at the restaurant - which in honesty had absolutely tasty, freshly cooked meals. Their local/Malaysian/Asian dishes are absolutely worth every penny paid. Especially the chicken dishes. Fried rice and noodles were really delicious too. You can, however, opt for the other shops/cafes within the village which are all basically within walking distance. We just really, really couldn't be bothered to do so.

The resort is run by a really small team, so please don't get mad if you're request is not being attended to immediately. They are in fact, very very helpful and also very friendly. The same people that you see working and serving during meals are also the same people that will be cleaning and making up your room. I think making up the rooms is also on request. We really didn't need our rooms to be made throughout our stay coz we were basically almost always in our room or on our verandah.
The beach is just 10 steps away from our huts. You can also request them to arrange scuba trips etc for you.
Overall, we'd definitely be more than happy to be back to 1511 Coconut Grove if we ever plan for another trip to Tioman Island. We absolutely love the people and the quietness that the resort offers.More
