Owner description: Caves in the town of Rincon .you might think it a suburb of Malaga. Prehistoric and run by the government.

Decided to go and visit this cave on a Sunday afternoon. The lady on the front desk was very polite, spoke good English and explained what we had to do with the hand sets we were given. The cave may be smallish but very interesting and a great experience. The fresh water pools look very inviting and the story behind the caves discovery very fascinating. We easily spent about an hour and fifteen minutes down there. There could have been a bit more lighting here and there, the Health and Safety team would have had a field day. Worth seeing as there are only three of these marine caves in the world.

More interesting than expected. We were lucky enough to visit the caves alone (late February). Audio guides in English available. Arrive 15 mins before group guided tour times on the website so you hopefully have a quieter visit. Not as dramatic/impressive as Cuevas de Nerja but definitely worth the 45mins that it takes to visit. Take a torch to shine up at the rock formations to get better views of the darker corners. Not for anyone who is unstable on steps - there is a lift to the cave area but there are quite a few steps to negotiate was down. Quite warm atmosphere. CAN use your flash camera.

I was on a solo visit ,there was a large group of small Spanish schoolchildren ,sothe best of both worlds. You are handed an audio guide with a choice of languages.Fascinating to think that Marcus Crassus hid here for eight months! Fascinating tales and really beautiful smooth forms redolent of Hepworth ! The staff are so kind and helpful .An easy cave to visit even for overweight, arthritic septuagenarians BUT, bits of the security fencing have temporary repairs .Not dangerous, but you can easily get caught up in peering at the rock formations .The band of Spanish infants had no trouble !You can spend as long as you like in there .Regular buses from Rincon de la Victoria and a pleasant easy walk down just head for the sea then through the tunnel for pedestrians and cyclists . I enjoyed the little bus trip up the hill, but would always walk down .

Had some spare time travelling back to the airport so called into the Cueva del Tesoro. Easy to find and affordable 3 adults and 2 small children less than €20. You have your own handheld remote that you carry around on your tour, as you reach parts of the caves you press a corresponding number on your device and it tells you about that part of the cave done in several languages so there is no problem understanding. We did the tour in around half an hour but you could easily take longer.

Spent a relaxing hour walking around the caves and finding out about their formation and historical significance.

Fantastic place to visit and ideal if you want to get away from the scorching sun and relax.

Very quiet when we visited and made it easier to take your time and see everything.
