Owner description: Caves in the town of Rincon .you might think it a suburb of Malaga. Prehistoric and run by the government.

Visited the caves with our 5-year old daughter without any expectations. Were we surprised! Beautiful formations and breathtaking underground chambers, coupled with a break from the heat makes for a very interesting outing. Highly recommend if you're in the neighbourhood.

Unlike cuevas de nerja these caves are not tour guided which left you to perusal at your own pace. They are different types of caves to nerja but just as beautiful. The caves are smaller but with the lakes the time flies and before you know it you have lost an hour, taken hundreds of pictures and absorbed the pure natural beauty. I recommend travelling by local buses so from the town hall in Rincon get the little bright green bus number 4.... these buses are €1.20 no matter where you get off and they drop at the cuevas. If you are active it's a 1.5 mile walk uphill there but think about it it's a 1.5mile walk back to Rincon downhill!!! Once in Rincon if you are there in the morning grab some chocolate y churros and if you get back down in the afternoon the beach front do massive cocktails!!!!

Decided to walk there on a Monday. It was lucky, since we were told it was free on mondays. Interesting caves full of history. Something to do other than sunbathing. Commentary machines gives you a lot more out of the caves.

About a 20 minute walk from centre of Rincon, with second half uphill. The caves are spooky and eerie and interesting to see. You are provided with a spoken commentary as you go round.

The caves make for a fun visit. Cost was about 9 euros for two and included an audio guide which was good but only has 8 entries!
