This hotel was very convenient during out trip. Grounds are nice (although could use some cleaning) and right next to the river. Rooms are very basic but have everything you need.
Hotel includes a very good breakfast. Parking is easy. Staff is nice and attentive.
Close to town and restaurants.

What a pleasant surprise! We decided to have quick one night getaway and waited til last minute so options were quite limited we arrived with very little expectations other than comfy bed ( as that seemed to be common commentary) and some good coldish mountain air! We arrived and while we did have one of the noisy rooms — which made no sense as hotel was empty- it didn’t bother us and we had a great view of river. We enjoyed walking around the property and playground and had fantastic dinner with some super strong cocktails. Breakfast was equally delicious and they even packed one to go for our tween who was fast asleep in bed. WiFi was pretty sporadic but for a family that is Always
Connected was nice change to disconnect

The location is great, the room we’ve stayed very clean even though not extraordinarily equipped. Comfortable bed and pillow. Hot water after a while of waiting - but then really hot. WIFI ... well better don’t come if you need to work remote.
Big minus for the noise... you can’t enjoy the outskirts of the hotel because of an incredible loud machine (they told us it’s the extractor of the kitchen) ... we couldn’t use the balcony neither fall asleep because of that. And we were lucky to have the room farthest from this machine :( thank god when kitchen stops working around 11pm they turn it off.
Another big minus: trash. Trash along the river bed but also trash inside the hotel. In the floor, in the gardens, ont he playground ... Messy when you have a look around ... what a pity ...
another big minus: single use plastic cups at breakfast buffet ... you would not believe that a hotel based on nature tourism has no sense of environmental friendly habits.
The playground for kids is great, the reception staff helpful.
If you really want to unwind it’s not the place to go. If you’re anyway most of the time on treks and adventure outside the hotel ... and you’re looking for an economic alternative... this is your place.

The Hotel is located 3-4km outside of Jarabacoa and the premise is lovely maintained with a direct view to the river (you'll need a car to get around) I used it as a base for hiking and for this you may should use a different location. The Hotel seems to be a popular spot for a family retreat for the weekend. Some of the rooms didn't had warm water and no wifi - what is not so sweet because it's not that warm up there in the region and you want to organize stuff online (but in another room I had later both had been working - but seems to depend where you are in the hotel area). Staff in the restaurant was friendly.
