Tried 3 Indian Restaurants on Chaweng Road.
This was by far the best in terms of food quality.
They made the food as per our specification, which was an added bonus.

Needing a break from Thai food, i stopped in here for a kebab. The guy was super friendly and the food was delicious. Would happily go again if in the mood for indian or a kebab.

At first I thought it was an unusual mix of kebab and tandoori in this unpretentious restaurant, but thinking it over what a good use of a tandoori oven. They also do good basic Indian dishes like aloo Gobi (cauliflower and potato) and most Indian breads. We've returned several times.

We walked past this little place a couple of times, and it must be the only Indian place without any touts. And was mostly empty everyone we looked.
But dropped in anyway. The staff were polite and we ordered a couple of veggie dishes, plus a couple of garlic naan.
The bread was delicious, and despite the huge amount of garlic on it, we never got that 'garlic pong', so I'll recommend that. We also got a hot version of the yellow daal and a lively, spicy cauliflower dish. Both were excellent.
Menu seemed to be a fairly standard Brit- or Aussie-Indian fair, with nothing specifically from the South that I could see. But the two dishes we had (in air conditioned comfort, mind) were worth a visit.

The food is very good. We tried the cachumbar salad and they had used some chaat masala which made it taste amazing. The dum aloo and aloo matar was very good.
The rotis were not greasy and dal was very tasty. Overall a very good restaurant.
