Review of Icugna

Icugna
Ranked #1 of 38 Restaurants in Trecastagni
Price range: US$10 - US$30
Description: Icugnà was born from the experience and the passion of the two young owners, Gianluca Toscano and Salvatore Leonardi, who had invested on quality, efficiency and innovation. The "ristopizza" offers to the customers a variety of classical and traditional dishes prepared with competence and fresh ingredients; it also offers tasty "pizza" prepared with old wheat and naturally leavened, hamburger extra-large with selected meat cooked at the moment. The location is modern, elegant and comfortable. The restaurant also provides a large selection of the best wines of the region.

This was one of the more expensive meals we had in Trecastagni. They get more tourists here and the staff speak a bit more English.

Located in the small town of Trecastagne this is a very nice restaurant. Being American we were hungry at 6:30 but I don't think they officially open until 8 PM. They were kind enough to invite us in and proceeded to serve us a very nice meal. It was excellent food and the staff worked with my very limited Italian without making me feel stupid. Warning though, their pizzas are huge. We thought they would be individual size but when they arrived we saw they were very large. Needless to say we could not finish them and were provided boxes to carry out. For the two of us we got a large appetizer, two pizzas and two large bottles of water and the bill was only 36 euros. They refused a tip. If you are in the area I highly recommend checking them out.
