Staying at the Villa Medici hotel we decided to take a short walk into the town and try El Greco, as work colleagues had been before and recommended it. A good sign is that it was busy on a Tuesday night, even at 6:45 the tables were mostly full. We were given bread, olives and a shot of Ouzo to start, bonus ! The service was very good and they took our orders very soon after we had ordered drinks. We had sardines as a starter, very nice, followed by Gyrros with Chips and a rib eye with chips, both came with a nice salad.
Both plates were cleaned, very enjoyable and pleasantly surprised. Also given a complimentary sweet, some sort of mousse , and another shot of Ouzo. Bill came to around €40, really enjoyable meal so left my customary Origami Euro T shirt as a tip.You only get these if I have enjoyed the meal

Did a very quick meal here while travelling through Germany. Told the waiter that we were in rush and indeed got our food withing 20 minutes. Food was delicious. Free ouzo to start with, bread and olives were also complimentary.

Thumbs up for El Greco!

Group of three arrived around 1930 on a Monday and the restaurant was bustling.. . but a table was quickly found and pleasant food served. Wide range on the menu of both foods and drinks - with complimentary Ouzo free-flowing. An enjoyable meal out...

A nice restaurant with superfriendly staff and very nice food. We ate Souflaki with potatoes and Tzatziki, very tasty!
The big surprice was the one Ouzo given when we waited for the food. And then waiting for the bill there was given another one, and some ice-cream.
Extra Points to the waiter who noticed that I, in the group of germans, talked English, and for the rest of the evening talked to me in that language. Not so often spoken in Germany.
High class waiter ! It also showed that he had a sence for humor, thank you!
Very recommendable

Ate here with a large group of work colleagues. Service and food was excellent and enjoyed by all. I had the lamb fillet which was superb. The restaurant was cool due to the front being open which also gave a really good atmosphere. Would certainly eat here again.
