My wife and I are Belgian and we recently (09.2014) spent a week at Park Residence Cicladi, a wonderful place. Above all we enjoyed the fantastic view on the bay and on the small fishing port, the ever-changing see, the tropical trees and flowers and the endless coming and going, day and night, of the small fishing boats. We found the apartment spacy and comfortable and well equipped. We enjoyed the very close beach (not as clean as it could be) and it was a great pleasure to enter the warm water early in the morning or late at night before and after sightseeing in Palermo. The latter is rather close (+/- 10 kms) and can easily and quickly be reached by train at the nearby station of Baggheria. There are a couple of good fish restaurants at the nearby port of Porticello. We also appreciated the courtesy of the landlord and landlady and we took fun in practising a bit our Italian with them.

We stayed for one week in September 2013, and had a wonderful time. Wanda was extremely helpful and kind, and the apartments were clean and spacious. The view from the balcony was also really nice. There is a small beach just 100m down the road and only a few minutes drive to the nearest town.
Park Residence is a bit difficult to find, but with a GPS and Wandas directions, you will have no problem. I highly recomend that you have a car, as it is not so easy to walk alongside the road into the town (the sidewalk suddenly cuts short after a few hundred meters), and not really any restaurants close by.

we went there in july 2013, the weather at this time is really hot, so the nearby (like 5 min walk) beach was a great opportunity to cool down. there are not many international tourists in this area, so it is a rather calm and not very crowded place. we hat a nice terrace with sea view for ourselves, the beach is public. the only disadvantage was that apart from the owner, almost nobody in sicily is able to speak english, so we had a hard time finding the supermarket in the beginning :)
