Amazing night, awesome food! The staff at Casa Tapas were awesome. We had a lovely meal and the Spanish Creme Brulé (can't rember the correct name) was amazing (as is the brandy coffee) and I cannot wait to go again!!!!

I can honestly say we love this restaurant. My son nags to go back! Yes we have already booked. The service is friendly and welcoming. The food is soul heaven!! Only downside...too many amazing choices of tapas and I cannot eat them all at once! Great for trying new dishes and lots I want to try again! Highly recommended! Not overpriced and fantastic food, cannot ask for much more

We have just come from Casa Tapas, we decided on a late mother’s day lunch with my partner and little girl.
Despite the restaurant being completely empty we were told we were unable to sit in the comfy seating due to the space being booked up??!
Then after ordering 6 dishes to share between the 3 of us, it came almost immediately. (Not a positive as some had not been made fresh)
The pulled pork was a dry mass on top of cold bruschetta. And to cut corners they had cut the scollops in half and placed them along the rectangular dish .... given the price we felt this was a bit of a joke.
When asked how our food was, we explained our dissatisfaction and the response was oh sorry.
We quickly paid the bill and thought It amusing that the table we had been denied in the first instance she ill remained empty. Given we were the only family in the restaurant we expected better in terms of food quality, freshness and service.

Hi Lauren,

We were very disappointed to hear you didn't enjoy your dining experience.with us, it is very unusual for us to receive negative feedback, especially about the quality.

At present we normally open at 4.30pm on a Sunday and we were almost fully booked from 4pm onwards. You came in to us at just after 3 (we weren't fully open but tried our best to accomodate) and we explained that the seats you requested were booked from 4 and given it was Mothering Sunday, we didn't want any potentially awkward situations or for you to feel rushed. We offered you a table which was available for a couple of hours to enjoy your meal. Tapas is usually a chatty, relaxed and continuing as a dining experience.

To address the point on the food being made up; some of our cold tapas dishes, such as sliced meats are often prepared a short while before service and garnished fresh as is the practice in any well prepared restaurant. We would hope you would find the fast service positive.

We did not hear a complaint about the food until all of the plates had been finished (clean plates we thought were another positive), we were unable to change these for you or try ourselves so we had no way of checking to enable to offer you any compensation. If you had told us straight away, we would have of course apologised and brought a fresh dish or another dish for you or removed from the bill had this been the case. As they say, you eat the steak, you pay for the steak.

We would recommend booking for your next meal out (especially on a day such as Mother's Day) so that you can enjoy a preferred table. However I would like to add that in giving a small family business with a great reputation such a bad review for very little seems highly unfair, especially when we believed to be accomodating your family on a busy occasion. We do not like to turn customers away, especially those with a child asleep on their arm seeking somewhere to sit and eat.

Casa Tapas Social Manager

Went here on Tuesday night on a whim as we are new to the area and fancied a mid-week treat. The restaurant itself was really lovely inside, it felt warm despite being a quiet mid-week evening and was intimate and well decorated.
The service was excellent from the offset. Attentive but not over-fussy with us. The drinks menu had quite a few lovely gin’s which just about made our day!
The food itself was brought out in good time, and was absolutely delicious. We had the set menu and got a real taste of lots of the dishes. At first we weren’t sure if there would be enough food, but it beat us!
Worth noting that this tapas restaurant serves the dishes a few at a time. They did ask before serving if we were happy with this, and we asked that everything comes at once which they were happy to oblige.
Really lovely, can’t wait to visit again!
