Description: The New Inn is a Traditional Village inn serving great food and real ales to both the local community and guests from further afield. We offer a great range of meals, with ingredients locally sourced, complemented by Palmer's Reals Ales and some great wines. We have a bar area and a separate restaurant, both with roaring log fires. The outside area has a large lawn for lazing on those summer days. Children and well behaved dogs are very welcome, and we have a seperate childrens menu.

Hadn't been back to the New Inn since January 1st but the quality and choice of food is as good, if not even better! We went for Easter Sunday Lunch and it was full! How they manage to serve such excellent meals with the same quality and in quantities that we can never finish I don't know! The owners are always cheerful, professional and welcoming and it's always a pleasure to visit,

Second time we have been here , set in a lovely village nestled into the Dorset hills ... Booked the day before to possibly celebrate our engagement !... Both meals were wonderful and beautifully presented ... Very friendly atmosphere and staff ... Would highly recommend ...

We took our family out for Sunday Roast yesterday. The food was amazing. Portions really good. The staff were so nice and helpful. We sat in the Dining room as we had young children so we're able to relax. Children's portions were also really good. Just a perfect place to eat.

Last minute decision to have lunch out. In spite of a large group celebrating a birthday, the food and service were excellent as ever. We don't know how they do it, but they keep on doing it, thank goodness. I had the Sunday roast beef and my friend had the haddock. Both were well cooked and hot. Couldn't finish either meal, such generous portions! The staff are always so welcoming and pleasant. Lots of special events coming up so we will certainly be back again soon.

I've harped on about this pub in the past and on this occasion like the others they didn't disappoint. The atmosphere was welcoming and buzzing. Five of us in the party three had the beef and the rest had chicken all enjoyed our meals. Vegetables had just the right degree of crunch! Potatoes plentiful and crispy and the Yorkshire just right. Along with the Spring Cabbage ,carrots and french beans there was a delicious cauliflower cheese. We all squeezed in a dessert. You're never rushed, all in all a perfect Sunday lunch. It's alway busy as locally it's the place to go.
