Small and cosy hotel with excellent location. Reception and check in process simple and traveller friendly. Stayed at a superior room in the ground floor. Room size adequate and furnishings nice without being over the top. As I like a lot of sunlight in the room, the large glass windows were just right for me. But the ground floor room looks right on to the road and has some privacy issues specially for lady boarders. Rooms at upper floors would be better in this regard. Bathroom is adequately sized but provided toiletries were sparse and not adequately stocked. Warm water facility is present but perhaps takes time. Two large towels are provided but felt the absence of hand towels. Room service is prompt but the hotel seemed understaffed ( perhaps because of the COVID scenario). Breakfast is served - it is adequate and nicely made. My thumbs up to the chef. The hotel does not have dining facility at present and has a tie up with a nearby eatery whom you have to call and order. Meals arrived between 30 minutes to 45 minutes of ordering - so order early if you are hungry. The owner is kind, friendly and co operative. All in all , a nice hotel which can do much better with a few more additions. Recommended.

We stayed in hotel Tranquil for 3 nights and had a fantastic experience. The rooms are big and clean. The staff is excellent, courteous, polite and always ready to help. The location is quite central too. They only provide breakfast (quite tasty) however there are quite a few restaurants in the vicinity. I highly recommend it and will be my hotel of choice when I next visit Manipal.
