We arrived back in beautiful Ballyfin for the New Years celebrations.
It was a fantastic two nights. Wine & cheese tasting in the cellar was a wonderful way to introduce guests to one another as the dinner that evening in the grand ballroom is at a long table & you can all chat freely. We met lovely couples who return every year especially for the New Years. The table was a sight to behold with fantastic candelabras adorned with fresh festive foliage, truly a delight to the senses.
The firework display at midnight with a chilled glass of champagne in hand & a warm blanket around our shoulders was a memory we will treasure.
Ballyfin did not disappoint on this our second trip. It is the only hotel where I have ever hugged the staff when saying our goodbyes.
They all truly feel like family & in turn treat you as such.
We have already booked two more trips for this year. Ballyfin casts a glorious spell on you & once you are under it you don't ever want it to be broken.
