Description: We are a restaurant on Route 1, next to the river Aranjuez. We have a beautiful view of the river you can see from our terrace. We have outdoor tables on deck and in another area, which is farthest from the terrace. We have facilities for people with physical problems. Our menu is based on seafood and steaks. The structure is in fine woods. We have breakfast, lunch and dinner.

My wife, her brother, her sister-in-law, and I were traveling from Nicaragua to San Jose and say the Pops Ice Cream store next to Cuenca and we had to stop. We were very hungry since we had not eaten much for breakfast in Nicaragua and were quite happy to see such a lovely restaurant next to a great ice cream shop. The restaurant is very well situated next to a lovely river and has wonderful outside seating. I ordered the lomillo con salsa jalapeña, it was fantastic. The meat was perfectly cooked and quite tender. The sauce was perfectly spiced with jalapeños, unions and mushrooms. It was accompanied by white rice and a salad. It was not cheap, but worth every penny. My brother-in-law ordered the house plate of the day with fish. The fish was very fresh and lightly breaded, perfectly prepared. I would highly recommend this restaurant for the excellent service, great food and beautiful atmosphere.

We stopped to watch the Olympics along our travels to have a few beers and a bite to eat. The hostess was super accommodating and put the TV at the bar to the game. The full bar had reasonable prices and was very comfortable. They offered a full menu but we ordered appetizer, which were good. The coolest part was the hundreds of monkeys in the trees outside. We were so excited and took tons of photos! A hidden gem!

We found this just after we'd left Sanctuario Lapas, and it caught our attention because of the seating area, and because it was right next to an ice-cream store. Too bad we were too full to go get ice cream. I'd started with a ceviche and then ordered a great baked fish. Open-air with a view to the river below. And it looks as if others on TripAdvisor like it too!

Today we had lunch during our trip back to San Jose. Good ambiance, very friendly staff, but at least 2 out of 4,dishes did not really matched our taste. Signature dish with shrimps was not bad, but every dish with pollo was not tasteful. Cheeseburger was fine, French fries not.

First of all, thank you for visiting our restaurant. We hope that the natural environment and the overall atmosphere of the establishment make them have a good memory of our country. Unfortunately, we could not fill the expectation about the food and that sorry lot. Normally, if a customer has a problem with food, which thankfully is very rare, remove and offer a new dish if the customer so desires; removing the item from the account. We have worked for our staff to ask visitors if the food is to taste, to correct any detail, but fail with you. If back for Costa Rica, come to the restaurant looking for me and I personally take care of your attention, and can speak well of our food, as well as our location. Thanks and apologies for any hard time.
