I travelled here with a girl friend and we stumbled upon this magnificent boutique villas hotel in Tsilivi Zakynthos Island in Greece. The owner Costas greeted us after we arrived after our ferry trip and treated us to a welcome drink. The architecture is majestic with each villas having arched terraces. The décor has boutique sheik elegance. It is steps from the Beach with a few basic aquamarine sea. There is a lovely central court yard where a sit down complementary breakfast is served. In the evening you can enjoy island cocktail mixed by the best mixologist in the area, Dennis. The Villas are a short walk to shops, taverns and restaurants.

We stayed with Kostas at the end of June for a week. 22 family and friends block booked all 4 villas and 3 apartments to help us celebrate our magical Greek wedding. I never review so this place has to be amazing for me to do one.

The service is the best I have ever experienced, nothing is too much trouble, for example Kostas went all the way into Zakynthos town to buy a DVD player so we could watch our wedding video a week AFTER we had moved to our honeymoon accommodation. Now that's service!

We stayed in villa 1 (us and our 3 daughters) spacious, clean ,comfortable, just perfect.

The bar area is great for breakfast and of course socialising, end of evening night caps is a must.

Close to Tsilivi centre for eating out, which we did almost every night. Kostas also did a BBQ for us which was fresh, plenty of it, and a really nice get together.

I won't go into moaning mode regarding missing plates, spoons, etc plike other reviewers do. All I'll say is ask, and like fairies in the night, it appears. Simple.

I would thoroughly recommend staying with Kostas, he treats everyone as family, in any of his lovely villas or apartments. The place surpasses any expectations we had.

We (2 of us) stayed for a week in villa 4, which I believe is the smallest of the villas. The grounds are very nice, a pleasant grass area with trees and a small area where the owner (Kostas) tends some fruit trees and plants.

The villa itself is well-built, and is nicely kept. Solid construction and a largely well designed interior. As for location, well Tsilivi beach is a 30 second walk away (you could just about see the waves from our villa) and 30 seconds in the other direction takes you right into the heart of the resort. Kostas lives on site and always responded to our needs, he was always very courteous and friendly and attentive, as was his assistant Ena who also cleans the villas daily. The two of them prepared and served breakfast on the shared patio in the mornings and it was always a lovely way to start the day.

The bedroom is large and nicely decorated, the bed is ok but a little squeaky!

So now the negatives, none of these concerned us greatly or caused us any distress, but it's only fair to mention them, just niggles really:

Neither of the showers are wall mounted which is a shame.

The kitchen isn't really adequate for serious self-catering (no cooker, only a couple of electric hot plates); this wasn't a problem for us as we ate out a lot.

There isn't a washing ,machine but there is a launderette very close by in Tsilivi centre.

The breakfasts themselves are fine, a combination (varying daily) of bread, jam, eggs with sausage, cereal, small pastries with cheese/meat/apple, greek yoghurt and honey, melon, plus fruit juice and tea & coffee. The only serious complaint about breakfast is that both tea and coffee were not hot enough which we mentioned - by the end of the week the tea was *almost* hot enough, but the coffee was always lukewarm, which was a little strange! Kostas if you are reading this - turn up the heat!!!

Lastly some of the furniture is just beginning to look a little worn, nothing serious, but if you are after true 'luxury' in the real sense then you *may* be a little disappointed.

All in all very much recommended, and when we peered in at some of the other villas and hotels in Tsilivi we were very happy with our choice. If I go back to Tsilivi I would happily stay there again.

Just returned from a one week stay in villa 1 and we found it the ideal base for a relaxing holiday.Only a couple of minutes walk to the beach yet very quiet and secluded. The owner Kostas was so welcoming it was like meeting an old friend. Our villa was cleaned daily and if we needed anything extra it was never too much trouble,Kostas even let us watch moto gp in the bar and trusted us enough to help ourselves to drinks as he had a meeting!i am sure you would not get that trust anywhere else.We will certainly be visting again.
