Can not recommend this villa enough. Oxana met us at the villa when we arrived and showed us around, she was extremely helpful throughout the booking process and our stay. The villa was perfect, lovely and clean and with all the amenities we needed. We were also pleasantly surprised that there were three bedrooms when we arrived as on booking it only advised of two.
The villa is only a 5 minute walk from the beach and the bars and restaurants. Our favourites were dimitris and Almiris. There are a couple of supermarkets only a couple of minutes walk from the villa with everything we needed. A visit to Piperaskis bakery is a must. A car isn't needed as the taxis are cheap and close by and the bus stop is only round the corner. Definitely would recommend a trip to Chania. We would not hesitate to visit again in the future.
My partner and I have just spent 10 days in the well equipped Villa Lydia. The villa is situated in peaceful surroundings, a few minutes’ walk from the beachfront with its many tavernas and beach shops. The drive from the airport (Charnia) is about 45 minutes. We had slight difficulty in finding the villa which was more of a language issue than anything else. The villa is situated at the back, and to the right of, a group of villas that all lead off a short, grey stoned path. There is also an added porch/conservatory before the front door which is only shown in some of the pictures.
The villa has two bedrooms which had plenty of space for storing clothes for the two of us as we used the wardrobes in both bedrooms. The wardrobes had drawers which could be difficult to open (one was broken) and get into due to the position of the wardrobes and beds. We didn’t find the bedding (a top cover) adequate for two people and again, we used the one from the bed in the other bedroom so we had one each (our bed was two singles put together which apart from the top cover was very comfortable).
There is a downstairs toilet/shower room and upstairs bathroom with toilet, bath and shower. Downstairs is open planned with doors leading onto the terrace, garden and pool area. Upstairs has a balcony to sit out on which the two bedrooms lead onto. The windows are well equipped with shutters, pull down mesh covering to keep out bugs and patio doors.
A terrace leads onto the very pleasant garden area with plants and bushes with pots dotted around and has sunbeds with a swimming pool of the same depth throughout.
The kitchen is spacious and well-equipped, although we didn't cook.
There was no car parking space as such, although we parked the car on the roadside which we were able to do every day.
All in all we had a very pleasant stay and would highly recommend.
