We had a very restful week at TBH, the staff could not have been more helpful, the food was good and the surroundings delightful. It could be a bit quiet for some, but that was what we were looking for and, if you hire a car, the island is your oyster. Two beaches nearby are walkable, both with tavernas if you want other dining options. The self-service breakfast was varied and plentiful, with eggs to order, and excellent coffee. Dinner on the terrace in the evening was romantic, with a great view and relaxed service. If we go back to Kefalonia, we will definitely return.

This was our first time at Trapezaki Bay Hotel, although lots of the other guests had been many times before. I can see why. It's the little things. Complimentary pick up from the airport and a drop off to the airport too. Nico is lovely with a wicked sense of humour in fact all the staff are but special thanks to Angela who was quietly efficient with nothing being too much trouble for her. She even got some whitebait in specially when I wanted it. Always had a smile and I liked that at dinner she would take our orders calmly and was very professional.
You do need to hire a car though, you can walk to the nearest beach and there is another restaurant Dennis's by the beach but to fully appreciate the Island get a car. We ordered one from reception but in future I would email them to organise this beforehand.

Room Tip: We stayed in a corner room - amphitriti which was lovely but next time I would request a room at the...

We have always wanted to visit Kefalonia, and have just returned from a weeks stay at the lovely Trapezaki Bay Hotel, recommended to us by an aquaintance who has stayed on a couple occasions. I have to agree with the previous comments on Trip Advisor from other guests, everything was pefect, from the welcome we received on our arrival at the airport; to meeting the owners Nico and Sofia when we arrived at the hotel, Maria on reception who kindly provided us with her wealth of knowledge of places to visit, as well as organising car hire and restaurant reservations, until the moment we left, when Nico and Sofia came out to wish us goodbye and a safe trip. Everything in this small family run hotel is spotlessly clean, and everyone who works there has a smile on their face and seems to want to ensure you are having a lovely time, all without being intrusive or overbearing, in fact in my opinion they have got it spot on. Kefalonia is a beautiful unspoilt island, a rarity in this day and age, the scenery is breathtaking, with mountains rising up above the crystal clear waters of the numerous little bays. There are a couple of lovely small beaches within walking distance of the hotel, but I would also recommend renting car for a few days to really get a sense of the picturesque beauty of this island to drive up through the mountains, and to visit some of the exquisite little bays dotted around the island, where you can just pull over to the side of the road and walk down for a cooling dip in the Aquamarine crystal clear waters.
We ate at the hotel on 4 of the 7 nights of our stay, as we like the flexibility to eat at other restaurants on occasions, but every meal we had at the TBH was excellent. We rarely return to places we visit as we love to travel, and there are so many places to visit in the world, but the tranquility of TBH has left such a lasting impression on us, that we are sure we will return for another visit in the near future.

Room Tip: All rooms are lovely, and have a balcony, rooms at the front have sea views

We stayed here at our favourite place in all the world for another glorious fortnight. We could not have asked for a better service, Nicko and Sophia welcomed us with delight as all the guests are. The hotel is spotless and beautiful with food provided to an excellent standard. Kephalonia remains unspoilt and a joy to behold. If you want a complete relaxing holiday this is for you. The staff cannot do enough for you and always go the extra mile.

Room Tip: All the rooms are excellent, if you want the sea sleep at the front, if you want the glorious mounta...

I know its all been said before with so many reviews, but this place really is special.

Niko, Maria and all of the team really do go the extra mile to make you feel special (oh and not forgetting our special transfer by Soula :)

I would suggest hiring a car and getting about, which can be done at reception with Maria (book ahead though as the cars get booked quickly).

All rooms are lovely but the ones at the front overlooking the sea are amazing.

We went for a week, which was plenty. I guess it depends on what type of holiday you are looking for, but I think we would of got bored after 10 days.

Have a great time. One of the the special places in Greece.

Room Tip: Front of the hotel, hands down
