You find this restaurant by leaving the A67 at Reinosa and joining the CA-280 towards Cabazon de la Sal, and then you can rejoin the A-8 ( or the reverse of this ). You pass through the Parque Natural Saja-Besaya. A beautiful scenic, twisty-turned road..... Beware of cyclists ! We were not expecting to be able to stop at all, let alone find food, so we were pleasantly surprised when we came across this place on a bend in the road. We asked for a dish with chicken ( can't remember what exactly ) and straight away we were brought some kind of pate, along with some olives with bread. Our meal came and it's a good thing we only ordered one meal because it was large enough for us both ! There were two huge chicken legs, tomatoes, lettuce, fried eggs ( ! ), and chips. The coffee was nice afterwards too. We ate outside but we could see there was a large restaurant at the back, overlooking a scenic ravine. The toilets were obviously a bit 'lashed together' and seemingly improved every so often, but they were clean. Although this place was 3 or 4 miles from the nearest village, it was obviously popular, as what must have been locals were popping in all the time we were there. I wouldn't pick it out in a town with a variety of restaurants, but it met our needs perfectly at the time. I only give it a 3 overall rating because I don't want to give the impression that it is anything more than a quaint rural restaurant. But we enjoyed it there.

This looked inviting from the location, having driven through the Natural Parque.

Sat by the window with geraniums on the window ledge and a view looking down from some trees to a valley.

We chose the Menu of the Day which included a bottle of wine. The waitress was a happy soul and helpful.
The chicken soup I had as a starter was rather cold but the main course of pork/chips/pimento was fine. As I am diabetic the pudding was a no go area, but the waitress kindly gave me some fresh fruit.

The cost was reasonable, and I guess on the whole, was mid range!

Lovely location on mountain road but the appearances not backed up by the food! We went for the special lunch ( not the Menu Del Dia which was half the price). The choice of 4 starters became 2 and then 1 (in other words no choice at all although restaurant not long opened for lunch and not busy). Main course mediocre and dessert an egg nog drink with a straw. To cap it all the inclusive coffee was not available as the coffee machine appeared to have broken down. Our attempts to quietly challenge the 40 euro charge ( for 2 which did include wine) were met with a shrug of the shoulders. We have travelled for many years in Spain and this was a truly bad experience. The beautiful location of this restaurant belies the quality of the food and the service. Couldn't care less comes to mind.
