A lovely site - We arrived on Valentine’s Day in a blizzard, we checked in at reception and got a nice reception.
Within an hour the warden Yvonne came over to our motorhome with a rose for lady of the house...It was blowing a gale and freezing cold.A lovely gesture..

Brilliant site great location for walking. Shower block excellent..
Well done everyone a great place to stay..

We recently stayed at Upper Hurst Farm for a weekend, and I must say I will be back! The site itself is small, quiet and offers stunning views. Pitches are super large, with great hardstanding, electric and water points. The toilet and shower facilities were spotless throughout my stay, warm and large.

However, what really makes this campsite a star find is the staff. From arrival onwards the team (especially Yvonne, she's a treasure) were so friendly, nothing was too much trouble and you really felt a warm passion for their business from them - they obviously care a great deal.

Unfortunately for us my Mother fell seriously ill during our stay, resulting in first responders and then an ambulance arriving to us on site, but even at the late hour Yvonne came to see if we were ok and needed any help, and stayed with us comforting myself and my brother as we were very upset. The next morning she even came to check on us again, and for that I cannot thank her enough.

So, if you'll have us (and I promise no ambulances this time!) we will be back!

ps. Benedict the peacock who patrols the area near the toilets is gorgeous :)

Booked purely on previous reviews and we were certainly impressed.
Caravan pitches are a great size, each pitch has its own electric point, water tap and waste water. Beautiful views of the rolling hills from each pitch.
Facilities block was second to none, lovely under floor heated, free flowing showers, no push buttons here. Immaculately clean in all areas of the site.

My daughter particularly liked the ponies and area for football practice.

Short walk to the manifold inn, a lovely pub that serves great food at reasonable prices.
Cannot say enough good things about the site, we will be back next year, definitely.

Had a brilliant stay from 4/9/17- 10/9/17. Awesome service from owner Sue and managers Yvonne and Paul are excellent. Very friendly, beautiful scenery lovely tea rooms near by. The bathroom facilities are immaculate, for my first time camping I really enjoyed myself, with all the wind and rain we had. We will definitely be back next year and recommend to our family and friends.

Just back from a truly wonderful stay at Gaia Lodge,a converted piggery, well we were happy as piggies in the proverbial. We arrived very late due to the notorious A34 & M6 .Sue made us feel very welcome and the the hot tub was steaming. Plenty of room for the two of us and the fairly large Leon the Lurcher. Finished to a very high standard throughout, the lodge was also very clean. Loved the ponies and the dog walking area, also the provided barbeque. A wealth of information provided in the lodge folder and by Sue (knows all the best pubs!!). Felt very relaxed and didn't want to go home, will recommend to all our family and friends. Will be back if they don't book it all out.

Room Tip: only sleeps two and a cot
