Worthy attraction and for those intereted in Gladstones Library 50,000 books in his orginal collection and 150,000 all together. Beautiful building inside and out and a very good cafe. We had lasange and spinach and ricotta cannelloni which was tasty and in pleasant surroundings.

The tour lasts about 15 mins and certainly wets the appetite to become a joininj member or reader with lots of historical theology books.

I once worked in this beautiful library a long time ago and it was with great pleasure to return and eat in the lovely cafe. We had tea and cakes -all delicious and served by friendly staff. My children were very interested to see where I once worked but even more interested in the food!! Looking forward to returning for lunch next month.

Thank you so much for this kind review and so glad you enjoyed your visit and food! The Library has undoubtedly changed very much over the years and is now more open than ever before, but we hope the same ethos and spirit remains!

I have attended a few courses here recently. The meeting rooms are well equipped and the refreshments are lovely, especially the home made biscuits. Love the atmosphere and the surroundings. The loos have gorgeous soaps from Myddfai Trading. The whole place just oozes history and is so special.

I have attended many courses at Gladstone Library over the years. It has fantastic facilities including conference rooms, an excellent restaurant with freshly prepared food, accommodation and THE library.
It is impossible to describe the library, it is totally incredible. It has an amazing history and the style of the building is breathtaking. The selection of books is seemingly endless. A fabulous place for peace, quiet and reflection in awe inspiring surroundings. Becoming a Friend of Gladstone Library helps with the upkeep and allows access. Definitely worth it for such an historically significant place

We struggle to put the Library into words ourselves, so wonderfully put. Thank you for taking the time to write a review and we hope to welcome you back soon.
