If you walk too fast, you might miss this quiet, unassuming place. Walk in (make sure you are early) and you often see a delicious array of sweet treats, freshly baked croissants and bread but no one in sight. Don't be alarmed by the lack of people as those in the know get in quick and things sell out quickly. The classic croissant is one of the best I have had in Sydney. Light, flakey, buttery with distinct layers when you bite into it. Similarly, the almond croissant is amazing byt sweeter. From the sweet treats, my favourite is the date creme brulee tart which last time ran out at 10am! Also love the lemon meringue which is one mouthful bursting with delight. It is hard to take home as the beautiful meringue peaks will be stuck to the paper bag. The frangipane tarts are classic, buttery & delicious and the chocolate ganache tart quite rich. All the tart bases are very short, buttery & rich, which is why they are delicious! The brioche / sticky bun filled with mascarpone sounded amazing but was my least favourite although it was nice. The breads are also nice too with a good chew & not overly heavy for a sourdough. We couldnt wait to tuck into the treats right outside the door before heading somewhere to sit so didn't even get a chance to take photos!

I'm a keen bread eater. I've tried a squillion. Their sourdough is the best in Sydney (white, wholemeal or multi-grain. Their pastries also are excellent; rich and buttery.

This is a serious bakery which cooks up a storm out the back apparently supplying shops, restaurants, cafes around town with a small counter out front offering produce to the locals.
The bread is excellent - but I buy on Fridays and am a bit disappointed that the full range of choices is not available then - Saturday, apparently is the day for the full range.
Likewise, the chocolate brownies are not always available - but worth buying a couple if it is your lucky day.

After reading the reviews we've tried it twice for the croissants, they are a little firm but lovely.

They've also started doing sourdough & it's yummy. Gets eaten very quickly in our household. They said they'll try grain bread soon...
