Stayed here for the 4th time, this being the first time in the summer months. The hotel as ever was brilliant. Francesco makes you so welcome. The piazza where the hotel is situated was closed off each evening for entertainment and eating. This created a lovely, festival type atmosphere. Would love to return every year !!

Perfect small hotel, rooms are large and comfortable; we chose sea view rooms with a balcony. Breakfast is nicely done, continental style with fresh coffee made to order. Delightful! After a long flight, Hotel L'isola was the antidote to jet lag; short walk into town for food, shopping, or just a walkabout. Not only would I recommend this hotel, I'd certainly stay there again!

Room Tip: Ask for sea view with balcony!

We are no resort ppl but like to stay at clean and confortable places. For Italy standard this is what I would call a better than average hotel. Good location. Takes 7-10 min to walk to the beach which is long and has a couple of restaurants and cafes.

A lot of restaurants and bars really close to the hotel (like 0,5-3 min walk away).

Comfortable beds for being Italy, and spacious rooms.

Great coffee at the breakfast!

We loved our stay here. Easy train ride from Rome. Our room was on the top floor with a gorgeous view of the water- we especially enjoyed watching the sailboats. A short walk to small beach and short drive to a bigger stretch of beach with a castle nearby. The staff was truly phenomenal and spoke English. The owner's father in law, Claudio, even offered/insisted politely to drive us to town/the beach rather than us have to wait for a taxi. He even provided us his phone number so that he could drive us back to the hotel after we enjoyed the beach while he did his business in town. Despite not speaking any words of each others' language (although the actual staff of the hotel does speak English) and with a malfunctioning cell phone- by some miracle, Claudio found us on the sidewalk by the beach and drove us back to the hotel! One of our favorite stories of our trip. On my first morning, I overslept past breakfast hours and they re-opened the kitchen and breakfast room just for us! Great place all around- helpful staff, comfortable room, good bed and shower, good breakfast, good location. Local restaurants and the town were charming.

After a ten hour flight that arrived at Fiumicino airport in the late morning we found Santa Marinella and Hotel L'isola the perfect place to recover from jet lag before heading to Toscana. After picking up our rental car at the airport we arrived at the hotel located on a small piazza away from the main street at mid day and our very nice spotlessly clean room was ready. Very comfortable bed, good shower, and a balcony with table and chairs overlooking the sea. Just what we needed. It's a short walk from the hotel to the beach and a short walk to the downtown. The breakfast was excellent and the staff is warm, welcoming, and very helpful. Will definitely stay there again.
