Really satisfied with the food. The burgers were absolutely delicious! As a person who loves beer, the selection was very much appreciated. The service was good. The only disappointment was that, when telling us what dessert 'specials' they had, the manager told us they had Imqaret (all of us were sold because obviously imqaret are amazing!) but when we came around to actually ordering the waitress told us they do not have any. This is obviously not that big a deal because anyone can make a mistake however we were left a bit disappointed at having to order something else.

Thank you Donna and our apologies for the issue with the poor internal communication re the Mqaret. We will certainly take note of this to make sure that it does not happen again.

We look froward to welcoming you back again soon

Since we were there around 40 minutes before the kitchen opened, the waitress suggested having a few 'bar bites' to start off with before food. The chicken wings we ordered turned out to be very small portions served in the kind of small bowl you'd expect a side sauce to be in.
We ordered burgers and spaghetti as main course. Burgers were good, however spaghetti seemed to have a lack of sauce and was quite tasteless.
Their beer selection is excellent. It's a good place to go to if you want to try out a different beer or want a foreign beer that you like but is not usually found at your local maltese bar.

Thank you for your review and feedback. if you would like to get in touch with us directly to give us further feedback about the spaghetti you can email us at info@bertskitchen.com.mt we would be happy to hear from you. If you could also give us the date of your visit we would appreciate this as we can follow up with the chef on duty on the day.

Went here last Sunday for a catch up with friends. We had no reservation although it was fairly busy they accommodated us. I ordered the chicken burger which was delicious. My friends opted for the pork and cannelloni both said they were fab. Service was good and friendly. Price wasn't too bad. Will definitely return!

What a selling strategy!! We had a seat and the restaurant manager immediately came to greet us in with "would you like some drinks? Maybe a light beer to start off with?" .. We said we would like a Heineken. He said, "would you consider changing the beer?" ... my partner said "no, we would like a Heineken, please" .. but the guy kept insisting that the other one he was suggesting is better to start off with. So... we took his suggestion. Then, just seconds later, we opened the menu and realised that whilst the Heineken was priced as normal, the other fancy beers were priced Eur6. We called the guy and asked him which one was the one he recommended. He pointed out at the highest priced beer - Eur6 for 33cl !! .. The point is not that we are not willing to spend money.. the point is the scammy way they try to sell expensive things to customers. I wouldn't have mind giving the beer a go if he said, "i'd recommend another beer.. more expensive than heineken but it's different/better..." .. Do not fall for the trap of the smiling guy!

Dear Amy

Our sincere apologies for the above. The manager did indeed suggest a more expensive beer, but I would like to set your mind at rest that he did this with good intentions as he wanted you to try a different beer similar in taste to the beer that you had chosen. Clearly he came across in the wrong way, and we apologise for this.

We do hope that, given time, you would be willing to put this incident behind you and that you would consider coming back to us again.

Best Regards
Martin
