The staff were all top class and made our stay even more enjoyable. Very professional and friendly. Stunning surroundings and beautiful well kept grounds. Clean rooms every day. Restaurants we loved.
Staff entertainment night was a highlight, so talented.

The clear up after the storm was fast and business as usual. A credit to management, staff worked hard.

The pre booked restaurants were all excellent, the food faultless. My husband travels the world on business and was very impressed.

One observation was the breakfast area by the pool which was buffet. We both went up to get more food together and when we got back to the table the staff were clearing it!!
I think a card printed both sides for holiday makers to show if they have finished would help staff reduce their workload.

We would go back, it was magical. Thank you to staff for a lovely time.

Booked Grande for a week for vacation, loved everything about it. All the restaurants were fantastic, Gordon's on the peer and Bombay were our favorite for dinner, jerk shack for lunch and Toscaninis for breakfast. Must check out Gemma at the piano bar, he is awesome. During the day we spent most of our time on the beach, the color of the Caribbean is mesmerizing. Looking forward to our next Sandals vacation.

We stayed at the Grande for 12 nights in September and enjoyed every minute of it. The facilities, staff and food were all excellent. We went primarily for the scuba diving which was very well organised by great staff at the Aqua Centre, the boat docking at the Hotel is a big plus as are the boat crew and dive leaders. Fletcher and Denelle Captain'ing the boat with Martin, Pamella and Romans leading most of our dives made for good entertaining and efficient trips The others in the Aqua centre were great and all added up to a well organised but relaxed diving experience.

The Hotel facilities were really good too with plenty of pool space, lively and quiet, good bars with good service and great restaurants. Our room was overlooking the Atlantic and was very quiet. I used the gym on a couple of days and it was well equipped and importantly, air conditioned!

Favourite restaurants were Bombay for good Indian food (try the Mutton Vindaloo!) and Soy for Sushi. Again, the food was excellent in itself but the staff helped make the evenings more enjoyable. Lucida, Donovan, Sharma, Lito, Cryssy (could be spelt wrong) and the others were really great hosts and we had a great relaxed rapport with them all.

We also spent the pre-dinner evenings primarily between two bars, the outdoor one outside Bombay where we were given EXCELLENT Golden Margueritas by Robert and sometimes in the Olde London Pub where the cocktails were also really good. Many thanks to Ted and Latoya for the evenings we spent in there. Thanks also to Simone in the Select and Loyalty office who helped us look at options for next year,

We were very lucky with the weather, arriving just before Hurricane Irma went through North and leaving before Maria swept a lot closer. I hope everything's OK there! Being over in September we expect some rain and again, luckily it seemed to rain mostly at night, or while we were diving. Scuba was cancelled on one day due to rough seas which was a wise decision and expected that time of year. There is only one dive on a Sunday, most other mornings there are two. The Aqua Centre staff seem pretty busy all of the time, it crossed my mind that if they didn't dive on a Sunday they may have more time to do some proactive maintenance on the kit and boat. We didn't have any serious issues but a few leaky O rings might have been a little off putting for novice divers,

One surprise worth noting was that the transfer from the airport took us over two hours in a taxi, slow traffic and very windy roads. As St Lucia is only about 27 miles long we didn't expect this and after the long trip it felt like a LONG way. Being more prepared next time would help,

I do think we'll be going back to St Lucia and will be staying at the Grande when we do.

Room Tip: We had a room in "Pigeon Island" building on the Atlantic side, quiet and nice view

My wife and I just traveled to Sandals Grande St Lucia for our 20th Anniversary. We had an amazing week there. I will break the hotel down into a few sections.
First- Overall Appearance
This hotel is a little older but very well kept. The grounds were clean at all times. Rooms were cleaned several times a day. Pools were beautiful. It would have been nice to have something to float on though. The main pool doesn't have anything.
Second- Service
The first thing i want to say about service is you have to take the time to stop in and meet Emma in Loyalty & Travel. She is amazing and really made our trip so special. I cant thank her enough. Another person to meet is the General Manager Mr. Anderson. We had a couple slight hiccups while we were there and he did an amazing job to address them. He is a very genuine person and cares about your concerns. The rest of the staff were always very nice. The only place i felt service fell short were the bartenders. compared to other sandals i thought they were a lot slower and less engaging with the guests. With that said I would like to add, that its also the guests responsibility to get to know the staff. It really helps if you engage them.
The food overall was very good. The two best restaurants were Kimonos(hibachi) and Gordons on the pier. Both you need reservations for so do that when you arrive at the resort.
Very well kept with plenty of places to lay out. The only downfall was to many locals trying to sell you stuff. I saw several guests shy away from the beach for that reason. At one time I counted 7 of them waiting at the entrance to the beach. I found that its best to keep telling them its your last day. (they tend to back off then)
The sunset cruise is well worth the time and money. Beautiful photo opportunities. We also did the dune buggy trip to the mud baths and waterfall. It was fun but you may have to drive.
Overall it was an amazing place and i cant wait to go back again.

Your Honeymoon should be the best week of your life and I must say for my husband and I, it was! From the beautiful grounds to the impeccable Butler service (add on) it was absolutely a trip for the books. Our Butlers Amos, Michelle and Sabie were absolutely amazing and tended to our every need. Each morning we had our chairs setup for us by the pool with a cooler filled with beer and water (the necessities :) ) and each night we had a table reserved for dinner.
The restaurants were all amazing- especially Soy (Sushi). We went multiple times because we couldn't get enough! If you are lucky enough to meet a good group of friends then Kimono is a fun night out for Hibachi. Gordons on the Pier and Toscanini were absolutely beautiful for a romantic dinner with your significant other. Olde London Pub is fun for late night bites and drinks and to enjoy some karaoke and dancing. I will say Dino's has some of the best pizza I have ever had! It is thin crust so you don't feel guilty when eating it!
We did JJ's Speedboat excursion and I must say- it is WORTH IT!!! You start out on a speedboat that travels over to a snorkeling area where you see beautiful fish. Next you hop back on the boat so you can head to the volcano where you enjoy a HOT mud bath and a COLD waterfall- great for your skin. Then you enjoy a St. Lucian lunch and possibly a pool party! When people say "Watch out for the punch" you should really WATCH OUT FOR THE PUNCH!! It hits you when you least expect it (ha).
If you are interested in meeting people and enjoying the night life we recommend a beach view room because it is where there is more happening. If you are looking for a more intimate private trip then the pool view is for you!
The Spa is beautiful and I recommend doing the massages that are done outside in the garden- it doesn't get much more relaxing than that!
I couldn't have asked for a better place to unwind after our wedding week. I highly recommend Sandals Grande St. Lucian!
