Like other families in the region, we have been to our share of sugar shacks. For us, Temples tops them all. The facilities are wonderful and with the buffet menu this year this was an added bonus. There will be line-ups but things move quickly. The modern shack (a post and beam restaurant) can accommodate. All your needs. It is a little way out from downtown Ottawa, nevertheless, I would recommend that you go. Cost of the buffet in 2018 is $20.00\person.

Very cool place to go for breakfast or just a walk through the Maple Tree forest. Maple Syrup cooked right on site. Prices are also very reasonable and staff are extremely friendly. Definitely recommended as part of your Saturday or Sunday drive.

Visited this Sugar Camp on March 22/18 and we're totally disappointed. We ordered pancakes and they were a little more than paper thin and which we thought would be sliced ham turned out to be shredded ham. My wifes ham was cold and they replaced it with hot but I couldn't eat mine because it was too salty. Very disappointed because we've been going there for years. We were compensated but that's not the point. We were looking forward to a good meal.

First weekend of their 2018 season. First time for their new buffet style and I have to say it was wonderful.

Selection is great. Food is very good, plentiful and fresh. Lots of people, lots of turnover and the kitchen kept up - kudos!!

Service for drinks, table clearing and bill payment was efficient and friendly.

We are repeat customers and have never had an issue here though we know folks who have had terrible wait times for seating and for food in the past. The new buffet this season was part of Temple’s rejigging their service style. If today (being only day 2 of the new buffet) is any indication of future success and solving wait time issues - they nailed it.

Brunch is $20 per person + tax + tip.

Well worth it!!
