Stayed overnight in the motel section on our way to Longreach, as it was low season (Jan 17).

Our greeting was warm, welcoming and friendly, our room was satisfactory and the a/c worked hard to cool it down. Due to the time of year there were an extraordinary amount of bush crickets a few of which were already residents luckily we had fly spray to help eradicate, some were resident within the floor drains.
The room was comfortable and the bed was satisfactory and we had a good nights rest.
We ate at the hotel which was a BBQ / salad and it was plentiful.

The beverages were cold and refreshing.

Tariff for a motel room was the most expensive on our trip, which include Bonus Downs Farmstay (near Mitchell), Charleville, Longreach, Winton...

While visiting family in Quilpie we decided to pop out to Windorah for a visit.

We stopped for lunch, meals where fantastic and quickly served. Well worth the drive. Staff where friendly and amenities where clean. Will definitely visit again when we are out this way again.

We stayed in Room 3 and were warm and comfortable. The share toilet and bathrooms were kept clean and complimentary tea/coffee was available. Staff were all friendly. Breakfast and dinner was available for purchase. Pretty good barista coffee was also available for purchase.

Returned to the Western Star Hotel and Motel after a visit at the same time last year! Lovely hotel rooms -spacious and self catering - quiet night both times after a concert put on by Graeme Roger - meal put on for our very large group of over 100 people was plentiful and tasty. Very helpful bar girls and those working in the motel - helped us book in and with our washing the next morning.

Room Tip: All motel rooms are well away from the hotel and all quiet!

Bbq Friday night & then another on Sunday night, $25 per person for a bbq, very expensive

The basic drinks were $6, still too expensive

Very disappointed

We went across a had a huge meal at the service station restaurant across the road for $15, very highly recommended
