Good authentic malaysia style food. Reasonably priced and tasty. Tried it a few times and will be going back.

The outside is not much to look at, the inside hosts a rather eclectic selection of artwork but who's here for the looks? If you like Malaysian food as you'd find it in Malaysia... this is the place to go. If you like crab this is also the place... okay it is Singapore chilli crab but if you're pedantic about it... the crabs are from Darwin which I think MAKES the dish!
You order off the menu and there are plenty of pictures if you're not sure what's what. Or you can have rice and three dishes - for around $10-. Personally I enjoy both - if there are plenty of vegetables in the 3-dish mix I go for them - pumpkin, egg plant potatoes, greens, beans and tofu. If you like mushy veges: tough. These are firm and fresh as they should be.
I'm working my way through the menu and haven't had a bad meal yet but if you like char kway teow (as I do) it's a good place to start if you get past the rice and three.
Choice: Cheap and cheerful or chilli crab
Two takeaway meals arrived more than 20 minutes apart. The Penang rojak arrived quickly, but then sat on the counter for over 20 minutes until the fried kwai teow was ready. By that time, the rojak sauce had become thin and watery. While I understand that hawker food comes as it is ready, having a single kitchen and beyond hawker prices should ensure a more consistent delivery from the kitchen. That said, the kwai teow was enjoyable.
Again ....had the chilli crab n it was so good
Had to dip the sauce with our sweet buns!
This restaurant is a must visit ... from Melbourne...
Run down and kinda grubby but damn do they make an awesome combination kway teow. So saucy so good. The Har mee is not bad either.
Not as cheap as some of the other Malaysian joints in the area but great tasty food.
