West Island is the capital of the Cocos (Keeling) Islands, which sit on coral atolls in the midst of the Indian Ocean. With a population of only a few hundred people, the Islands are a tropical paradise. Rent a bike and ride through paths cut into the dense jungle of West Island’s interior, or walk along the coast, stopping for a swim in the turquoise waters of Trannies Beach.
