The attitude towards dress is relaxed but all visitors should show respect for local culture and customs in public places by avoiding excessively revealing clothing. For most of the year, summer clothing (lightweight, cotton clothing) is suitable, although warmer garments may be required in the rainy seasons and air-conditioned offices, hotels, and shopping malls.
There are no special restrictions of dress or behavior in day-to-day life applied to females, and women visitors can be assured that they will be readily accepted and welcomed.
All visitors are expected to dress properly when they're going to visit any religious places. Avoid wearing excessively revealing clothing. Some places such as mosque and Hindu temple need the visitor to take off their shoes prior to entering the place (lockers or shoe racks available on site).
