The Crocker is a great place regardless of your taste in art. Plus, just going to see the incredible architecture is worth the trip. But the many different types of art that are featured will keep you coming back. There is a beautiful traditional gallery of old European paintings and paintings that show scenes from life in the Gold Rush. There is contemporary art and Asian art as well.

Om October 2010, the Crocker opened a new wing, expanding its floor space by three fold. It now contains numerous new galleries and has great space for  changing exhibitions. It is truly one of the great medium sized art museums on the country.
