Mida Creek is an extensive (32 km sq) tidal inlet of sand and some mud flats and is located near to the village of watamu its lined with mangrove forest and renowned for its waders, kingfishers and crab plovers. Birdwatching, fishing, mangrove walks, and leisure boat trips can be arranged by several groups in Watamu.
On the western edge of the Creek a 260m long suspended walkway leads to a bird hide from where you have excellent views to observe the Creek and its bird life
