It is also important to point out that from the terrace / patio of the main house you cannot see the swimming pool and likewise, anyone in the pool cannot see you either. The house sits on a total plot size of over 5000 square meters.
We have 14 will established palm trees on our land, all well over 150 years old and home to many owls!
Other things to note
In 2017, 2018 and 2019 we were awarded a 'Certificate of Excellence' from Trip Adviser (On track for 2020 too) followed by an Air BnB 'Superhost' award plus Premier Partner Status with Homeaway.
Animals live on the grounds of the property. All are very friendly and non aggressive. They have been trained not to enter the property, however, if you are not an animal lover then this property is probably not best suited to you...
On a final note, all consumables like dishwasher tablets, washing powders, bin liners, firewood for the cooler winter evenings and drinking water are all supplied free of charge for the duration of your stay.

- We do supply a welcome pack of Tea, Coffee, Milk, sugar, water, ice, crisps, nuts, olives, butter, jam, ham, cheese and a few other treats - for any late arrivals we'll do our best to accommodate any other requests you may have.
Sadly we cannot accept children aged between 1 and 12 years old as the garden is not suitable (sharp volcanic rock etc).
MAIN HOUSE REVIEW: Having previously stayed in the amazing penthouse, I decided to book the main house for my son and I to celebrate his birthday.
The house is gorgeous, very spacious, immaculately clean and tidy and the perfect spot to relax and unwind. It has a homely feel to it and the beds are super comfy. The kitchen and bbq area is very well equipped, with everything you need for a self catering holiday. We really enjoyed the peace and tranquility of our surroundings and the beautiful views from the house. Although I do not watch tv when away, my son loved being able to relax on the sofa of an evening, watching his Netflix and prime series and box sets. The pool is very inviting, both during the day and the evenings and is lovely and warm, set at a perfect temperature. The pool cover is super safe and convenient for those travelling with children.
Heidi and Marcus are the perfect hosts. They are so friendly and welcoming and are always on hand with help with advice and recommendations when needed. They surprised my son with a delicious birthday cake. Such a lovely and thoughtful touch.. thank you so much guys!
We love the animals here (dogs, cats, chickens and ducks) they are all very friendly and so adorable. This is definitely the perfect spot for those looking to escape the main tourist areas, whilst still offering plenty to do and see. I will 100% be returning to both the penthouse and the main house. I absolutely love Haría and Casita Palmera will continue to be my first choice of places to stay.
I really can’t recommend this place highly enough. Book it! You won’t regret it.

Second stay, awesome!
We didn’t think our second stay could get any better after our first at Casita Palmera last May, but it did! We stayed again this past December and enjoyed all the wonderful amenities this home has to offer. Marcus and Heidi go over and above to make your stay one to remember! We had an opportunity to use the toasty fireplace to take the chill out of the air in the evening (no shortage of firewood!) and enjoyed the big screen tv to watch several match’s of the World Cup. The location, again proved to be perfect to visit a few of the sites that were closed during our last trip do to COVID. The weather cooperated and we were able to enjoy the patio set up outside which was wonderful, peaceful and relaxing!

Nowhere could be better: fabulous accommodation and location
We can’t wait to go back.The superlatives used in other reviews are all true: read them, believe them and you will not be disappointed. Marcus and Heidi could not do more to ensure guests have the holiday they want. They are a very supportive presence: communication before the trip is excellent and travel instructions, help with car hire etc is just the start of it. However, it is also possible to be absolutely private and self contained if that is preferred.We stayed in the main house which is spacious, spotless and really comfortably, thoughtfully equipped. The pool is a blessing and the swing seat overlooking the valley is a relaxing place to sit and read or do absolutely nothing! Haria is a peaceful village set in the valleys and hills above the coast.It has a great Saturday morning market. When you can tear yourself away from the comfort of the house, and the picturesque views from the terrace, Haria is an easy base from which to explore the rest of the island. The sea is only a short drive away and morning coffee at Casa de la Playa restaurant on the beach is a delightfully quiet time and place to enjoy the seaIf you take the 25 minute boat ride to La Graciosa from Orzola it is worth going no later than midday and hiring a bike or taking a 4x4 tour of the island when you get there( prices range from 40 to 60 euros per couple for the 4x4 tour) and the driver can recommend a restaurant with locals food and prices.Arrieta,nearby on the coast, is only small but has a petrol garage, a choice of restaurants and beach cafes too.

Thank you for allowing us to use your lovely villa. If I could leave a 6-star review then I would!
Marcus and Heidi were fantastic hosts who made us feel very welcome but were never intrusive, and went above and beyond when we needed assistance.
The villa was spotlessly clean, provided everything that we needed and was the most spacious villa we have stayed in. It really was a home from home. It is furnished to the highest standard by Marcus and Heidi, and we loved the décor. The kitchen has all of the equipment you would need for a holiday and more. The lounge has a great lcd tv with Apple TV (including Netflix) and a speaker system.
We loved the pool which was huge but warm and covered which prevented us from getting burnt.
Every morning I enjoyed watching the sunrise with a coffee, and in the evening, the sunset with a glass of wine. The location was idyllic and so very different from the hustle and bustle of the main resorts.
The animals were great company and very friendly but no bother, and we enjoyed getting eggs from the chickens each morning.
When we arrived there was a lovely basket of goodies waiting for us, which was very welcome after such a long trip.
Marcus gave us fantastic recommendations for restaurants and days out (and when to visit them to avoid the queues). He promised us we wouldn’t be bored, and he was right.
When we had a problem (our problem not a problem with the villa!) Marcus went out of his way to help which demonstrated the kind of host he is. Nothing was too much trouble.
We had a fantastic holiday which was made extra special by our stay at Casita Palmera and our superb hosts. Thank you so much.

Fabulous place to stay in Lanzarote - home from home
This was our second visit to the Casita and it didn’t disappoint. The owners have been working hard since our last visit and there have been some changes to property including an upgrade to the shower room in the en-suite and a change to the layout of the patio area. The Casita is really now a home from home for us…it is just incredibly comfortable and set up so well, there has not been one thing that we needed that was not already there, down to the provision of re-usable shopping bags and cool bags! We had lost a bit of confidence around travelling because of COVID but the Casita was spotlessly clean and a lot of trouble had been taken to ensure that there was sanitiser available in all areas, our host Marcus was really careful about being COVID secure and this really reassured us. As per our previous review there are comfy beds, sofas etc, good quality cookware and everything down to the towels are really good quality - I was so pleased that there had been no fall of in quality because of the pandemic. It is also really helpful to have the property host living next door, we found this really supportive and helpful for recommendations for shopping and eating out, big shout out to Mi Piace in Costa Teguise as recommended by Marcus and in our experience a brilliant Italian restaurant.
We really enjoyed our stay in Casita Palmera and would highly recommend it for a relaxing base to explore in Lanzarote or as we found a fabulous place to kick back and unwind - some days we had to really press ourselves to actually leave the Casita at all!

Brilliant house with a great host

This is a really stylish yet cosy house. It is well equipped with everything you need and they also have an outdoor pool, BBQ area and chickens (so you can get fresh eggs every day).
You can walk into Haria from the house and the province is a really scenic area of Lanzarote with lots of palm trees, good viewpoints and walks.
The host is really helpful and on hand to answer/resolve any queries you have.
I would recommend staying here

Coming home feeling from the first moment on
Im April 2022 durften wir fast 3 Wochen in der Casita Palmera verbringen und zwei anstehende Geburtstage feiern.
Das Haus ist wunderbar in den Bergen gelegen. Der Ort nennt sich "Haria" und liegt im Norden der Insel.
Es ist ein typisches Lanzerote-Haus mit riesigem Garten und wurde in den letzten Jahren und Monaten renoviert und erweitert; besonders erwähnenswert ist der überdachte und beheizte Pool, sodass auch bei kühleren Temperaturen und/oder Wind dem Badevergnügen nichts im Wege steht.
Obwohl an der Hauptstraße gelegen, ist das Haus sehr ruhig gelegen; Parkplätze sind vorhanden; eine vollwertige Küche mit Geschirrspüler, Waschmaschine, usw. sowie ein Outdoor-Grillplatz mit Esstisch beim Poolbereich steht zur Verfügung.
Der Garten bzw. Poolbereich bietet weiters auch zahlreiche Rückzugsmöglichkeiten. Der große Garten bietet auch den "Spice-Girls" (den Hühnern) und Enten reichlich Platz; dafür gibt´s täglich frischen Nachschub an Frühstückseiern. Weiters gibt´s am Grundstück 3 Katzen sowie 2 - sehr wohlerzogene - Hunde!
Haria selbst ist ein ruhiges Provinzstädtchen, das vom Massentourismus verschont geblieben ist; auch wenn die wunderbare Umgebung, der Wochenmarkt sowie das Wohnhaus von César Manrique im Ort einige Touristen locken. Weiters bietet sich Haria bestens als Ausgangspunkt für einige wichtige Attraktionen in der Umgebung an.
Auch einige ausgezeichnete Lokale sind in der näheren Umgebung zu finden!
Ein Leihauto ist daher ein absolutes Muss!
Die Besitzer, Marcus und Heidi, wohnen selbst am Grundstück und sind bezaubernd und kümmern sich ausgesprochen rührend und zuvorkommend, aber auch gleichzeitig sehr zurückhaltend um Ihre Gäste!
Wir hatten eigentlich immer das Gefühl bei langjährigen Freunden zu Gast zu sein und haben uns daher bei unserem Aufenthalt ausgesprochen wohl gefühlt!
Besonders überrascht hat uns ein Welcome-Korb, inkl. einiger Spezialitäten der Insel! Besser kann ein entspannter Urlaub nicht sein!
Vielen Dank für eine unvergessliche und traumhafte Zeit in Lanzarote!

Fantastic stay at Casita Palmera Penthouse April 22
Marcus is the ultimate super-host. So helpful before we arrived with perfect directions, help with car hire with a wonderfully easy and reasonably priced firm as well as answering all questions quickly.
All his restaurant recommendations were spot on and he gave tips of how to avoid the crowds at attractions.
He's there with friendly help when you need him but never intrusive.
The appartment is graciously sized, well equipped with a good layout and stylish furnishings but the best thing is the panoramic views. Huge windows in the living room and the bedroom look across to a hillside full of Palms and dotted with typical Lanzarote white buildings. There are swish electric blinds but we couldn't bring ourselves to mask those views even at night. Waking with the dawn and watching the view emerge into daylight was sublime. Also the most massive comfortable bed ever.
We loved getting our eggs fresh from the chickens and ducks.
If you're lucky enough to find this jewel available when you want it the don't hesitate. You'll love it.

Perfection at Casita Palmera
Our stay at Marcus’s place was a real home from home experience - beautiful spacious house, really comfortable, well equipped with a fabulous garden and heated pool. Marcus was such a great host, wonderful welcoming touches, great communicator and lots of valuable advice and recommendations - you couldn’t do better on the wonderful island of Lanzarote than a stay in Haria at Casita Palmera - perfection!

A wonderful stay !
We have visited on two previous occasions but we now felt it was time to introduce the rest of the family to the delights of all that this wonderful property has to offer. This time we stayed in the penthouse and the family were in the house. Both are of the highest standard and provide all that is required for a most relaxing holiday which everyone enjoyed. Think we won in the view stakes though as they were superb !
We must pass on our grateful thanks to Marcus and Heidi for being excellent hosts once again. Philip and I cannot wait to return in February !b

If you want peace and quiet far away from the tourist hotspots then this would be a good choice for you.
We have a huge garden which is home to a few owls and its extremely quiet.
