It felt like our home, everything was provided.
We arrived in the dark tired and confused after a tiring journey. The road we needed in Agaete had been closed for a family party so we were told by the owner. But once she opened the gate to the property we were speechless, love at first sight. The Garden is huge and beautiful and with lots of lovely features. Such a friendly welcome from Orietta. Wonderful private garden with lots of sun and shade options to sit out. We ate all of our meals in the garden. The undercover seating area is good for all weathers, especially with the glass wall protecting you from the sea breeze.There was even a herb garden, providing an array of flavours to inspire cooking. Loads of herbs and spices in the kitchen too and unusually choices of oil & vinegar. All beverages provided including a Nespresso machine for my usual coffee experience. Buy pods from the Lidl supermarket about 11 km away, they also have an independent butchery counter which was good. Casa Lomo down the hill is a great dining experience. A mixed salad big enough for 2 was only 5 Euros.
It is built with a chainlink fence, tarpaulin and corrugated sheeting. Mixed grill was immense and beautfully cooked. When Orietta came to water the garden and check the Hot tub, I let her in and welcomed her to our home. 3 double bedrooms, but if you need more you can rent the adjoining property from downstairs. All beautifully furnished, some rather quirky things, especially the hats in the hallway. Modern kitchen and 2 lovely bathrooms with walk in showers. Could not fault anything. Orietta is such a lovely lady, feels like a friend from the start. It was originally her family home, not just some rental property and this shines through.
Would not hesitate to visit again. The vies of the surrounding mountains and the volcano on Tenerife are astounding.

Perfect Villa for a relaxing holiday
From my first email contact with Orietta she felt like a friend and gave us lots of information and answered all my questions.
We arrived at the villa after a night in an airport hotel . The directions supplied by Orietta were easy to follow and even though there was a fiesta in the village we had no problems.
Orietta was waiting for us and showed us around the villa and told us the best places to shop and visit.
The villa is even better than the pictures with place to sit in sun or share all day. The views are spectacular especially the mountain view from the lounge. The beds are really comfortable and there were even thicker duvets and blankets in case we needed them as winter nights can be chilly.
The villa is situated on an urbanization and it is in one of the best spots to take advantage of the sun and views. It is very quiet and very private. Although you can't park outside we always found plenty of space around the corner and there is no problem dropping off shopping and bags outside the door.
There is a good Spar supermarket in Agaete and lots of fish restaurants. In Galdar 15 minutes drive away there is a Mercadona and a Lidels. Inside Lidels there is an excellent independent butchers. Galdar is a lovely town and there is a really nice bakery/cafe in the main street of the old town. It became a favourite for a snack and a coffee.
We never felt the need to venture to the tourist resorts in the south as having stayed there in the past we much preferred the peace and quiet of the north.
We can't thank Orietta and her lovely family enough for sharing their beautiful home with us and we hope to return again.

A real home-from-home, not just a lovely villa
We have a hot tub at home and always look for a villa with one. Los Jazmines has one that's designed for three but could take four at a pinch. But it wasn't just that, the villa has everything you could want in terms of furniture and fittings - and more. Lovely courtyard with beautiful plants and flowers, even it's own pomegranate tree ('granada' in Spanish) that you can pick the fruit from. On top of that, a wonderful, comfortable and spacious veranda, plus three terraces all with stunning views over the mountain-ringed, semi-tropical valley with the sea beyond. In a quiet, very private location with a great restaurant - Casa Lolo - on the doorstep, you could be forgiven for spending your entire holiday there and not sight seeing. So why not five stars? Because it doesn't have private car parking and, as it's on a tight bend that's part of a one-way road within the urbanisation, you need to park about 100m away. The road too is pretty rough and breaking up in parts, but while we were there the residents met and owner Orietta tells us the general feeling is to spend the money to resurface the roads throughout the urbanisation.

Tranquilidad, comodidad y preciosas vistas.
Apartada de la zona túristica y ubicada en un precioso valle, Los Jasmines nos ha encantado. La casa es bonita, totalmente equipada con una enorme terraza agradable y sombreada para descansar, relajarse en el jacuzzi o disfrutar de sus espectaculares vistas. Las habitaciones son grandes y las camas confortables. La cercania del pueblo de Agaete y de las piscinas de piedras de Puerto de las Nieves terminan de darle un toque especial a este lugar de ensueño. Altamente recomendable.

Wonderful house with spectacular views. Everything you ever need
Have stayed at Los Jazmines with as a family of four (2 adults and 2 kids, 5 and 7 years old) over Easter 2017. This house has everything you can think of to spend a perfect holiday far away from mass tourism in the south. It's located in a small urbanization near Agaete in the northern part of Gran Canaria. There are two restaurants in walking distance and lots of great places to explore nearby. In particular staying in the small village of Agaete on a Sunday afternoon or later in the evening is a wonderful experience as people are so friendly and make you feel like being part of their community instead of being a tourist. Nice little beaches not far away by car either so the kids were very happy as well. The house itself has everything you need and caters for everything. This is due to the owner, Orietta being really interested in making it a perfect holiday for you. We've used the hot tub on a daily basis and the hammock was the perfect to just unwind and relax. The kids loved it as much as we did. One point to note in addition is the cleanliness of the house. Everything was in perfect condition and having stayed in various other apartments/houses at other places it's difficult to beat this. Orietta has set the bar high for us to find something similar somewhere else. Thanks for this Orietta :-)
It was the second time for us to stay in one of her properties (Los Veroles is equally very highly recommended) and will definitely aim to come back soon.

Great winter break
We had a very relaxing time here. We have a 2.5year old and the outside area was really great to spend time there. We had mostly good weather. There was a storm our first day so we were happy we packed a raincoat but after that the rest of the time was warm...even 26 one day. We love to swim in the sea, we found the local beach not that appealing but were very happy to find that the big beach in Las Palmas city was clean and a great swimming place. Behind the beach are alot of resturants so its pretty easy to spend all day there. It is a bit touristy mind you! In contrast we drove in the mountains and that was really beautiful. Would recommend that but plan it well as the roads are very slow and it took hours. The local town Agaete is really old and charming and there is hikng trails close to the house. We did not do them but many people were. If you like peace and quiet with a great mountain view this is your place!

Perfect relaxing retreat
I just got back from a wonderful 9 day break at this house. It was everything I hoped it wold be. Very clean, spacious, well decorated, peacefuL and relaxing. The directions from the airport were very good and I found the house easily. The owner explained everything I needed to know about the house and area, including hiking paths close by, of which there were many. The weather was great and the jacuzzi and large terrace were the perfect place to relax in after a long walk.
Would definitely go back.
