We spent 9 nights at this apartment which has great views looking out over the bay. It's located at the top of a fairly steep hill which becomes easier as the week goes on. The apartment was clean with a decent kitchen area. The site/ complex has good amenities and the star of the show is the onsite restaurant which offers great food at a good price. The balcony receives the sun until about 3:00pm. Make use of the owners offer of a transfer certainly on the way out as the hill is steep when pulling luggage. His father is the driver, a very nice man, he took us back for a €25 charge. The place was quiet and within easy reach of Amadores and Puerto Rico on foot and Puerto Mogan by bus. An ideal winter break, good communication with the owners.

The apartment is small but comfortable and has everything you need for a short stay in the area.
The walk up the hill to the complex and the stairs to the apartment mean you'd need to be able bodied with reasonable fitness.
The balcony is a good size and in December was in full sun from morning until mid afternoon.
There isn't a lot going in the resort but it's ideally suited for Playa del Ingles and the quieter but quainter Puerto Morgan. Public transport available to both from the bottom of the hill.

Yana and Toni are the most solicitous hosts we have had since we started coming to the Canary Islands six years ago. From the greeting given by his father and providing us storage when we arrived early to the regular contact throughout our four weeks to ensure we were enjoying our stay, they could not have been more helpful. The terrace enjoyed sun from sunrise through to around 3.30 in the afternoon at this time of the year. You can extend your sunbathing by going up to the top pool until about 5pm and then enjoy a cold beer, wine or cocktails in the lovely quirky bar adjacent to the pool and the tennis court.
The apartment is perfect for a retired couple like us with a washing machine, and all the essential equipment for self catering. In addition previous guests have left beach equipment, towels, dvds and other bits of equipment that came in useful during the holiday. The TV is exclusively Spanish and German so any English visitors will need to use, as we did, the fast individual 4g wifi newly installed by Toni, that allowed us to stream English TV using a VPN. The general wifi is slow and unsuitable for streaming.
The other facilities onsite include a tapas bar and a restaurant both of which are very reasonable. There is a Spar supermarket nearby which is very reasonably priced. The road down to it is fairly steep so not suitable for people with mobility problems and the apartment complex is also very steep but very well served by lifts.
The resort of Playa de Cura has a small beach and basically two restaurants, a bar and the Spar. However the nearby Playa de Mogan is delightful with loads of restaurants and shops and the adjacent Playa de Amadores has lovely golden sand but can get quite crowded.
A word of warning on car hire. Parking around the resorts (particularly Mogan) can be very difficult. The taxis are abundant and not expensive while the bus service is excellent, cheap and regular.
I would thoroughly recommend this apartment as excellent value for money with terrific hosts.

We received a friendly welcome from the owners parents and were shown to the apartment. The accommodation was spotlessly clean and spacious. The views from the balcony were stunning. The apartment complex was clean, quiet and had lots of friendly residents.

Stay in Playa del Cura in the Monsenor apartments. Stayed in Yana and Toni's apartment, which was really enjoyable had all your requirements you needed, and his parents were really helpful transporting us to and from the airport. Views were beautiful with the sun until 3pm.
There was not really much to do in Playa del Cura, but the bus service was very good.
Unfortunatlely, the hills and the steps were really for the ulta fit, and not for my husband and I, we found it quite difficult . Maybe for younger folk.

This apartment was a surprise for us, a very nice surprise! The only thing we were sorry about was that we booked only 4 nights there and not 14. Very cozy, well furnished apartment, clean and quiet. You immediately notice the attention to the details. Fully equipped kitchen, nothing was missing! Private speedy WiFi. You feel like being at home from the very first minute. Stunning view from the terrace, from where you see the bay of Playa del Cura. One can spend hours there, relaxing and enjoying the view. You can park for free on the street (during our stay we did not have any issues finding parking place). Perfect location for exploring the south of Gran Canaria, situated between Puerto Rico and Mogan, just couple of minutes away (by car) from the beach of Amadores. The new Tauro beach (still not officially opened, but already attracting tourists and locals) is just a 10-15 min walk away from the apartment. We had excellent communication with Antonio and very warm welcome from his family. We definitely recommend it!

The apartment was very good, clean, comfortable beds, excellent outside space with two sun beds. Couple of slight snags, no kettle, which we were informed had broken, and so had to boil water in a pan for a fortnight, television reception was dreadful, we had to watch on the I pad as whatever box was installed kept freezing and no syncing with the sound. However the internet connection in the apartment was good, non- existent by the pool.
The apartments generally were in need of refurbishment, the heated pool was not heated for instance ( one if the main reasons for booking). However the saving grace was the excellent restaurant, best in resort by some way, and the bakery selling fresh rolls etc every morning.
The resort itself was quiet with only 1 bar and 4/5 eatery’s which were, in our opinion, average. The buses were plentiful in both directions and there was a lovely walk to amadores beach and right along to Puerto Rico . All in all, not a resort or apartment for those who aren’t fit and able, steep hill up from the good spar supermarket for instance. Would recommend the pick up offered by the owners as that was well organised and takes you straight to the door.

We chose this apartment because it had the sun on the balcony from breakfast until about 2.30 meaning we could have breakfast and lunch, if we wantd to, on the balcony. It had a dishwasher, washing machine and was fully equipped with everything one needed. We did not need to buy any cleaning materials which we've experienced in other apartments.
There was a hill to climb but was not too daunting and didn't spoil our stay.
