Playa del Cura is a quiet resort which offers a number of restaurants and bars. There is a bus service available to most parts of the island.
I'm German, but I also speak fluent English, French and Spanisch. I come to meet you at the reception. From November to April I'm living next to the apartment I'm renting out, so I'm always available and ready to give you any help or information you might need.

Das moderne Appartement (54 m2) ist sehr ruhig, modern eingerichtet und gut ausgestattet. Es liegt in der Mitte der obersten Reihe der großen Anlage Monsenor, die direkt in den Steilhang gebaut wurde. Dadurch haben Sie von der großen Terrasse aus einen herrlichen Blick auf den Atlantik und die Berge.
Der Strand von Playa del Cura ist nur 300 m entfernt. Der weiße karibikähnliche Strand Amadores ist zu Fuß in 30 Minuten oder mit dem Bus in weniger als 10 Minuten erreichbar.
Der Wohnbereich verfügt über ein Schlafsofa, Flachbild-TV mit deutschen Programmen und Telefon. Die Küchenzeile ist mit Gefrierkombination, Mikrowelle, Cerankochfeld, Backofen, Waschmaschine, Kaffeemaschine, Wasserkocher, Toaster, perfekt ausgestattet. Im Schlafzimmer finden Sie ein großes Doppelbett und einen geräumigen Kleiderschrank.
Eine Tapas-Bar, eine Pool-Bar, Sonnenterrassen, vier Schwimmbecken, eines davon mit Rutschbahn, ein Spielplatz, ein Tennisplatz laden zum Verweilen, Baden und Spielen ein. Außerdem befinden sich im Erdgeschoss eine deutsche Bäckerei mit Frühstücksmöglichkeit und ein Minimarkt mit frischem Obst und Gemüse. Ein Frisör ist in der ersten Etage.
Das persönliche WLAN nutzen Sie kostenfrei (Passwort). DIe Rezeption ist täglich von 9.00 bis 16.00 Uhr besetzt. Die Rezeptionistin spricht Deutsch, Englisch und Spanisch.
In unmittelbarer Nähe (300m) der Anlage befinden sich eine Bushaltestelle, ein Taxistand sowie ein Einkaufszentrum mit Supermarkt, Bars (Livemusik) und Restaurants.
Der Aufenthalt in Playa del Cura ist ideal für ein Paar oder eine Familie mit einem Kind, für alle diejenigen, die Ruhe und Entspannung suchen.
Der Golfplatz Anfi Tauro erfreut sich großer Beliebtheit, zumal er nur 3 km entfernt liegt. Puerto Rico erreichen Sie in 5 Minuten mit dem Taxi. Vom Flughafen aus ist die Anlage über die Autobahn in 40 Minuten zu erreichen. Las Palmas liegt mit dem Bus 60 Minuten entfernt.
Als Besitzerin des Appartements wohne ich während der Wintersaison direkt nebenan, so dass ich Ihnen jederzeit zur Verfügung stehe, wenn Sie weitere Informationen oder auch Hilfe benötigen.

Anyone breaking this rule will be liable for the cost of deep cleaning the apartment.

Wonderful Sea and Mountain Apartment In Playa del Cura, Gran Canaria.
This was our second stay at this amazing apartment and as good if not better than
our first!
Again we were greeted at reception and given 2 sets of keys.
The apartment was spotlessly clean tidy and a pleasure to walk into.
Nothing was lacking and we felt at home straight away.
We've stayed at hotels and villas in Gran Canaria, but nothing come even close to this!
The 9 days we spent there were superb to say the least!
All made possible by our host Elizabeth who is second to none!
She caring, understanding and nothing is too much trouble for her.
We were so fortunate to find this marvelous apartment and can't commend it enough.

Wonderful Apartment with Sea and Mountain View In Playa del Cura, Gran Canaria
We have previously stayed twice in Playa del Cura and were always attracted by the Monseñor complex, sat majestically on the side of a mountain overlooking the coast.
In the meantime we were fortunate enough to be able to book apartment Q 5.
On arrival at the reception, we were greeted by our host Elisabeth who also owns the property, taken to the apartment, shown round and given the keys.
We were provided with a most thoughtful welcome pack of groceries and finally give a guided tour of the complex and facilities.
We were so fortunate to find this apartment, had a superb 8 day stay and there is no doubt we will be staying there again.

Atemberaubende Ambiente!
Wir waren im September 2018 das erste mal in Gran Canaria und hatten großes Glück so eine super Ferienwohnung zu bekommen. Die Lage ist ideal, da in der Ortschaft keine riesige Touristenhochburg ist. Die Anlage in dem sich die Ferienwohnung befindet ist sehr schön in den Berg eingebaut und mit dem Aufzug (Gepäck und Wasser schleppen) sehr einfach zu erreichen. Die Anlage bietet außerdem mehr als einen Pool, ganz besonders schön ist der am Dach, den wir auf Empfehlung der Gastgeberin, auch jeden früh vorm Frühstück genutzt haben. Wenn jemand Tennis begeistert ist, der kann sich hier auch austoben.
Der Sonnenaufgang mit Frühstück am Balkon ist der Wahnsinn, genauso wie ein romantisches Abendessen mit Wein und Mondschein!
Die Ferienwohnung ist super ausgestattet, sehr schön eingerichtet, man fühlt sich sofort wohl bei der Ankunft. Ein Spar ist nicht weit weg und in der Anlage selbst befindet sich auch ein kleiner Laden und ein Bäcker.
Wir können die Ferienwohnung nur weiter empfehlen und würden selbst jederzeit wieder hin gehen.

Excellent
Nous avons passé une super semaine dans cet appartement qui est très propre avec tout le confort et très bien équipé.
C est un plaisir de prendre ses repas sur la grande terrasse, ou de prendre un bain de soleil car la vue est magnifique.
Très bien situé proche des commerces et de la plage.
La résidence Monsenor est très agréable, très bien entretenue avec des magnifiques piscines.
L' accueil et les échanges avec la propriétaire étaient très conviviaux et très facile car Elisabeth parle français...un vrai plus pour nous.
Nous recommandons de louer cet appartement car tout est réuni pour passer des super vacances.
Nous y retournerons avec plaisir😎

Gwarancja udanego wypoczynku - zapomnisz czym jest stres...
To był nasz czwarty pobyt w tym miejscu. W Playa del Cura jest coś, co przyciąga jak magnes. Nie wiem, czy to widoki, które z tarasu apartamentu nigdy się nie nudzą, czy to ludzie wiecznie uśmiechnięci, czy w końcu jakość pobytu, którą oferuje nam właścicielka.
Apartament czysty, w pełni spełniający potrzeby na czas urlopu. Kuchnia doskonale wyposażona we wszystkie sprzęty AGD: pralka, zmywarka, toster, czajnik elektryczny, ekspres przelewowy (sprzęty w doskonałym stanie). Łazienka czysta, ręczniki dla gości puszyste i pachnące. Sypialnia poezja. Salon z TV i rozkładaną, wygodną kanapą. Duży taras ze stolikiem i krzesłami - wiecie jak smakują posiłki na tarasie z widokiem na ocean? My już za tym tęsknimy... Do kompleksu przynależą baseny, kort tenisowy, plac zabaw dla dzieci. Wszystko w zasięgu ręki.
W pobliżu supermarket Spar (dość dobrze wyposażony), przystanek autobusowy, apteka, restauracje i bar. Do plaży mamy również blisko - każdy znajdzie coś dla siebie.
Mógłbym jeszcze długo pisać o naszym pobycie, ale podsumowując - polecam wszystkim ceniącym spokojny wypoczynek, jakość i profesjonalne podejście do gości przez właścicielkę Elisabeth. Języki, jakimi można porozumieć się z Nią, to niemiecki, angielski i francuski. Zawsze jest chętna do pomocy - nie zostajecie sami z problemami, gdyby takie wynikły. Jak wrócicie z urlopu, to koniecznie w pozostawionym komentarzu napiszcie, czy smakowało Wam wino, które czekało na Was w lodówce :) Udanego wypoczynku!
P. S. W razie pytań można do mnie śmiało napisać prywatną wiadomość. Chętnie odpowiem (oczywiście w miarę możliwości) na zadane pytania.

Absolutely fabulous
This is an amazing apartment with a fabulous view and balcony. It is fully equipped with everything you will ever need for your stay and we stayed for 8 weeks. The kitchen has oven hob fridge freezer microwave washing machine and a dishwasher and coffee maker could go on and on. The apartment is spacious bright and clean and is just like home not a holiday rental. Elizabeth the owner is very helpful and will provide any information you may need including washing bedding if needed. The apartment is in the Monsenor complex and there are various swimming pools tennis court a bar and pizza place. Lifts to all floors one has a glass wall so you can watch the view as you go up. There are stairs to climb to all the apartments so be aware but not many. There is even an outside gym for those who need it. Very quiet complex a little shop at the reception for basic's bread milk etc and a big spar in the shopping center just down the hill. The hill up to the apartments is very steep so be aware if you have walking/mobility issues. We walked down and mostly took a taxi up as we went for walks along the sea front into puerto rico most days and did our shopping there. Really can't recommend this place enough and will re visit when we go back to gran canaria.

thank you so much for your review and your advice. I didn't understand all, because it`s Flämisch, but some words are similar to German. And of course, I understood the Tip /Strandparasol. Especially in summer my guests need a small sun shade which they can take to the beach. I'll get one, when I'm back on the island in October.

A paradise on earth...
We’ve stayed here 3 times and we will come again next year.
The apartment has everything you can possibly need. It’s clean, modern and a real home from home. We even got a bottle of wine in the fridge.
Monsenor is great to relax. Inside the complex you can easily move around, because there are 7 lifts. However, it is at the top of a steep walk which is not so ideal for less mobile guests. If you rent a car, as we did, this won’t be a problem.
Down the hill is a Spar, restaurants, an Irish bar and a Burger place, the bus stop and the taxi rank where you can get a ride to Amadores, Puerto Rico or Mogan for a few euros.
The German owner is absolutely helpful, she speaks fluent English and she always replied immediately when I sent her messages.
We can really recommend this place.

The absolute high light of Playa del Cura is the beach 'Amadores' which you can see from the terrace. It's an enormous bay and protected from huge waves.The sand is white, there are sun beds and sun shades. Relaxing there is like a holiday in the Caribbean. There are also restaurants, shops and bars.
Getting around
I recommend to take the bus 91 to the capital Las Palmas. The journey takes an hour and the fare is 6 €. The old city is worth seeing, Vegueta, Triana and of course the international harbour with its cruise ships.
If you want to go to the mountains, you can book a guided tour which is leaving from Puerto Rico. There are good bus connections to all other places on the island. Or you book a boat tour from the fishing port Mogan to Arguineguin.
