Cabin Holiday Rental
A lovely detached wooden chalet in the grounds of the owner's property, near the rural village of Canonbie, half a mile from the border with England. This cosy and relaxing bolthole for two offers open plan studio accommodation and looks out over farmland and a large pond. There is also exclusive use of a 2 person hot tub on the veranda , providing a perfect opportunity to unwind, enjoy a chilled drink and appreciate the wildlife or admire the night sky. Less than ten minutes' drive from Gretna, this makes a fantastic and romantic hideaway, or an ideal base for simply exploring the Dumfries and Galloway and the surrounding border countryside. Cosy and stylish, the cabin is an ideal retreat that you'll want to return to again and again. Friday night is a minimum 2 night stay PLEASE NOTE...A lovely detached wooden chalet in the grounds of the owner's property, near the rural village of Canonbie, half a mile from the border with England. Friday night is a minimum 2 night stay PLEASE NOTE- The hot tub is situated on the Cabins' veranda and is for the private and sole use of guests staying in the Cabin. The cabin is 90 minutes from Glasgow, 2 hours from Edinburgh and 90 minutes from Newcastle. The Cabin is shown as unavailable from September this year but please contact us for availability. Unfortunately, once the cabin has been booked we are unable to change dates. We always advise visitors to purchase travel insurance which can cover illness and adverse weather etc. If however, you need to cancel your holiday and the cabin is re-let, we would refund the cost of the stay minus any fees already charged by Holiday Letting. Interaction with guests
We like to give our guests lots of space to enjoy their break so unless you want to, you are unlikely to see us after arrival, but we are on hand to help if wanted.

About the neighbourhood
Excellent Fishing The Border Esk, one of Scotland's finest salmon and sea trout rivers is only a short walk from North Lodge. Daily or weekly fishing permits are available and we'd be delighted to prepare packed lunches on request. There's fantastic opportunities for cyclists and walkers with short and long routes throughout the area, we can help prepare you for a day's activities by providing an excellent Scottish breakfast to set you up for the day. What's on nearby? Canonbie – The village of Canonbie is located just over 1 mile north of the Scottish border and has a population of over 400 people. Canonbie sits on the River Esk and many people come to fish for salmon or sea trout. The history of the locality goes back many years to the time of the Reivers and the river and villa...
Getting around
Having your car with you is easiest but we are just a short distance from the X95 Borders Bus route from Edinburgh to Carlisle. It runs every hour and all you have to do is put your hand out, it will pick you up at the end of the drive!
