Our holiday homes in Ballinskelligs are situated on an elevated site with some views over Ballinskelligs bay. Ballinskelligs Holiday Homes are located just 5 minutes’ walk to the fantastic Blue Flag sandy beach, perfect for swimming and water sports. There is a convenience store and post office in Ballinskelligs. The local pub, Cable O’Leary’s, has a great beer garden leading down to the beach, overlooking the bay. During the summer season, they serve delicious pub food and holiday makers love to sit out after a nice day at the beach! There are also 2 twin bedrooms and a family bathroom also located on the ground floor. On the first floor is a double en-suite bedroom and a triple en-suite bedroom with three single beds. The properties have under floor heating throughout and car parking. On site tennis courts are available for visitors use but pease remeber to bring your own tennis rackets and tennis balls. One of the unique visitor attractions are the Skellig Rocks, and boats make regular excursions weather permitting from the pier in Ballinskelligs out to Skellig Michael. Nearby is Renards Point a fishing harbour, where you will find O’Neill’s excellent restaurant and bar serving locally caught seafood. Ballinskelligs is a beautiful coastal holiday destination located on Ireland’s Wild Atlantic Way in Co. Kerry. You should visit Ballinskelligs for its stunning scenery, history, beaches, Irish traditional music sessions, walking trails, and the spiritual connection with St Michael. Ballinskelligs has a unique historic connection to the monks that lived on Skellig Michael. They travelled all the way from Egypt searching for the place after all. On the beach you will find the ruins, the priory of Augustinian Canons (the Abbey), and the remains of the McCarthy Mor tower (the castle on the beach). Ballinkelligs is in the Ghaeltacht, Gaelic speaking region and it has its own Irish college at the Comhchoiste where children come in summer to learn the Irish language. You and your guests will enjoy the swimming, fishing, boating, scenery, surfing and endless activities and adventures to be had in this stunning part of the world.
