About the neighbourhood
Argentière is located near the head of the valley of Chamonix approximately 7km from Chamonix town. It is connected by road with Switzerland by the pass over the Col des Montets, and the Col de la Forclaz to Martigny in the Rhône valley. The village also lies on the route of the incredibly scenic Mont Blanc Express railroad which runs from St Gervais/Le Fayet through Chamonix, Argentiere and Vallorcine before crossing the Franco/Swiss border at Chatelard, passing through Finhaut before reaching the end of the line in Martingy.
Getting around
FREE regular bus & train services running every day through the valley of Chamonix. The local buses that run through & around the outskirts of Chamonix town are eco-friendly electric, other bus & train services take you further: Les Houches, Servoz, Les Praz, Argentiere & even Vallocine which boarders Switzerland. Ask our team for free passes!

Other services include: Bus service through Mont Blanc Tunnel to Courmayeur. Private taxis run to other major resorts & of course transfers from Geneva Airport. The lifts & tele-cabines in the valley takes you to fantastic hiking & climbing trails around Mont Blanc, including the highest lift in Europe, Aiguille du Midi & the Montenvers train takes you to Mer de Glace, Chamonix's famous glacier.

How to get there
Airport: Geneva: 80.0 km
Railway: Chamonix: 0.6 km
Ferry: Calais: 900.0 km
FLY: Our recommendation is that you fly to Geneva airport it is only 50 miles to Chamonix and takes little more than an hour. You may choose to hire a car or arrange a transfer. There are many transfer providers, we work with the best & most reliable & are very happy to help arrange transfers directly from the airport to the apartment for you.

TRAIN or BUS: You may choose to travel by train or public bus from the airport. Although this is cheaper, it does not save you much money, the journey takes much longer and you still have to find your own way to the property once you reach Chamonix.

DRIVING: If driving, then from Calais the journey is around 850 miles and with minimal breaks the good motorways will see you in approx. 9 hours.
